It seems like everytime I see Sam Morgan he’s getting viciously beaten down. At least, that’s the image I always get (Burkman, Le, Daley).

The stand was a bit premature but, I personally prefer to see hard knees and a beautiful elbow KO…. even if it was’nt entirely fair.

How important is the referee in the fight game! I don’t know these fighter I must say so I can only base my opinions on what I saw here. Sam Morgan is in firm control, he’s put daly up against the cage, hurt him with should charges and the ref stands it up? Totally turned the fight right there. Imagine that’s Dan Henderson v Anderson Silva! Dan has taken anderson down, got great position, connected with strikes, and the ref stands dan back up with a lethal striker. These mistakes cost championship belts.

daaaammmn. the knees hurt him, and he was put to sleep by a nice right elbow to the side of the head…
i do have to agree with the announcer though. while he might have lost anyway, the referee definitely stood te up early. he was working his technique on the mat agressively, successfully, and not stalling. that’s what happens when the refs are being pushed to make it a good for TV fight as opposed to a legit fight.
