He’s a fcukin video game! Log in to Reply alan7890 July 8, 2012 was it just me or did both of these look fat, really floppy like they dont even train Log in to Reply Sick Bastard July 8, 2012 much respect to Le. Gassed, but still going for a 40 year old Log in to Reply Ozinator July 8, 2012 doyle, r u serious??? mma fans don’t deserve mma Log in to Reply dave July 8, 2012 deuche bag….jakelosays Log in to Reply anakonda July 8, 2012 Cote is no joke, great performance by Cung. He could have dropped some other guy with that kick. Always entertaining to watch Cung Le fight. Log in to Reply ultimate fighter July 8, 2012 really good fight wanted le to win so bad, but actually thought cote took rounds 2 and 3 Log in to Reply jonnyx July 8, 2012 eh. both of these guys looked out of shape. there is no excuse for it, esp. for professional fighters. i’m in as good or better shape than these guys and i work 50hrs a week in a office. cung has to start fighting more or start focusing on fighting, he needs to throw more combinations and work on taking advantage of those takedowns. and cote…well i’m not sure what he brings to the game. he doesn’t seem to be particularly good in any one area. he’s like a mediocre journeyman. Log in to Reply darren July 8, 2012 If Cung Le would have got in mma early in his life,Cung would have been a champ in ufc. Log in to Reply darren July 8, 2012 Cung would have beat Pat in the first round 10 years ago. Log in to Reply Perulives July 8, 2012 @jonnyx I stopped reading after the second sentence. Maybe you should fight them? Log in to Reply kdaddy61987 July 8, 2012 hey jonnyx if you know so much and if your in so much better shape why are you talking about the ufc fighters instead of being one? You could say cung doesnt have the endurance needed against the best fighters but no one cares about what you think these guys need to improve upon. “he needs to throw more combinations” omg cung le needs to take the advice from someone says hes in way better shape then guys who do this for a living. Log in to Reply ibunn July 8, 2012 great fight! Log in to Reply FedorFailsAgain July 8, 2012 Cung Le is a can crusher, I had high hopes for him but it’s obvious he’s in it for the film money and not for the championship. Cote should have thrown more shots to break Cung’s suspect jaw. Log in to Reply casemax July 8, 2012 @jonnyx that’s a bold statement, I highly doubt you’d last 2 minutes in front of that crowd before you’d run out of steam don’t care how good of shape you think you’re in. They’re both puzzling fighters and have plenty to offer. Log in to Reply FailSonnen July 9, 2012 The best part was when Cote was thinking of throwing a spinning kick and Cung Le saw it coming and pointed then Cote stuck his tongue out and laughed Log in to Reply tobes July 9, 2012 jonnyx, i guarantee you that as you are admittedly working 50 hours a week in the office. you are in NO WAY better shape than either Cote or Cung Le. Have you wrestled a day in your life? You wouldn’t last 1 minute let alone 15. MMA is an exhausting sport. Mixing striking and takedowns and taking physical damage are exhausting. Just cause you go to the gym 5 times a week, eat clean and lean and have a six-pack doesn’t make you a tough guy. Sick of all these keyboard warriors. Do you have any idea what kind of a phenomenal athlete Cung is? I love Ozinator’s comment. He is right. MMA fans don’t deserve MMA. Log in to Reply Corey July 10, 2012 @Tobes… does eating right and exercising make you a tough guy, no. But it does make you in shape. Infact, 30 seconds in to the fight, I decided to read the comments to see if anyone else posted something related to these guys both looking fat. Are they tough? Hell yes. Is this a good fight, sure. Are they fighting at 100%? Hell no. They are out of shape. When they come in with 15% body fat, and are huffing and puffing after 2 rounds, they bring shame to the sport, by not giving it their all. That’s just my two cents. I’m not going to try and give message board advice or say I could do what they do, but if I did what they did, I’d sure as hell come in at 100% to win, not at 70% just hoping for a paycheck.
