Zuffa are starting to act really stupidly.Why the F*** do you cancel a WHOLE card??Yes the card won,t be as good but real fans don’t care if 1 fight is canceled.Only casual fans who only know the 2 guys in the main event will decide to no watch the card.And most of the time these casual fans are not the ones who buy PPV.I can’t see how this is smart.You lose money,you lose the tiny ounce of respect from your fighters and you lose fans.Nothing smart in cancelling whole cards because of 1 fight.The only way I can see a whole event cancelled is if half of the fighters on the card can’t fight.Stupid Zuffa.

MMA as a sport has become very confident in it’s product. This is the only sport I can think of that will cancel a whole event if a single participate pulls out. Football, basketball, hockey would likely never cancel an event based on player injuries. I know those sports are not exacty a fair comparison to MMA. However Zuffa often reminds us they see the future of their league/ brand being on par with the NFL, NBA or NHL . But if the product continues to prove to be unreliable then how can they ever expect to reach that level of success. Cancellation of events costs them money but more importantly it upsets most fans and that’s something you don’t want to do from a business perspective when you set such high goals for your products success.

UFC cancels a event because of an injury, Strikeforce does the same thing just weeks later! Is this the new MMA business-model? It sucks!
