Thiago doesn’t perform badly against wrestlers. As chargerzfan notes, he handled Kos, he also demolished Hughes. The loss to Story was very close (some thought Thiago won) and Fitch is the number 2 WW in the world (yes, he’d beat Diaz, and yes, he’d beat Ellenberger).
Thiago vs Ellenberger would make some sense actually.

It wasnt his lack or ground skills that lost him the fight he got rocked hard standing on his feet that lead to the easy choke finish.

Maybe he was too confident taking that fight.Anyways overconfident or not you won’t win with 8 fights against a guy like Thiago who’s a huge powerful striker brown belt in bjj and becoming better and better in TDD.Unless the fighter has an extensive striknig or grppling background 8 fights vs Alves is gettibg fed to the lions.
