I can’t put in to words how much i respect this man; an idol to me as I grew. A man who in my heart never actually lost a fight. He looked like a million fuckin bucks. He kicked Mayweathers ass and if you didn’t see it you better watch again. GOD….I don’t know what to say….I know he made the right decision but damnit…….

It’s the end of an era….first Frank loses to Diaz which was a dive, but now this? I feel like I have no place here anymore….all that is left is for Fedor to get KO’d and I will officially become an old timer. The sport is moving so fast. But GoldenBoy will live on. I just hope it lives with it’s head held high, rather than it’s dick in the dirt like so many boxing promoters.

The most impressive thing about him, is his marketing. He is a good fighter, but he was never as good as he was able to make himself seem to be. He hadn’t won a fight since 2002?! He was making the biggest amount of money probably that just about every fighter on each one of those losses. So marketing wise he was great, fighting wise, he should give me a refund for paying to see the Mayweather fight, but like I said…he’s a good marketer.

Mayweather won that fight you know it…
Terrance Ali beat Roger Mayweather when Jr was a kid and had to fight Terrance again just to win when Ali quitted boxing didn’t want to fight no more.Pay was $1500 to win..F**k that.

but where did he learn that boxing skill?? Terrance Ali…Should have seen him back in the day…WAY ahead of his time..Mayweather is doing the same thing Ali was doing ..say about 85% of Ali’s skill. Just for some facts.

1989: David Thio died 10 days after being knocked out by Terrence Ali.

Good thing Hoya retired.Good champion one must say.He lacks what Mayweather can do.Hoya is not well-rounded to me but he won those weigh classes so props to him.

Good for him. This guy never even got Close to what Julio Cesar Chavez accomplished as a fighter. Julio Cesar Chavez lost against him cus chavez was old at that time… if they would have been the same age, cesar would have destroyed this ”THE GOLDEN BOY”.

What are you talking about? Hadn’t won a fight since 2002? Are we talking about De la Hoya.

Oscar De La Hoya is an icon. 10 belts in 6 differnt weight class is amazing. For the people saying that his fight with B Hop was a show, are fools. If you look at the fight, B Hop literally dwarfs Oscar. Its similar to BJ Penn fighting Anderson Silva, due to their respectable weight class. I meet him numerous times and he presents himself with respect class. A true legend in boxing.

He didnt show up against pacman but that had alot to do with draining himself to make 147.Physically he looked weak in that fight.young or old chavez would of lost to oscar. He would of gotten hit just the same cuz chavez always took three to give one.he would of gotten cut just the same.Oscar was great and is really the only thing that kept boxing alive the past decade
