saying Reynolds couldn’t do small joint manipulation (bending a finger to cause Newell to let go). I guess it’s easier to do that to a guy that doesn’t have a forearm completely covering his lock hand

if he had the rest of his arm he would defo be fighting in a higher weight devision. so an advantage in some respect.
