Nick Diaz Smackin The Speed Bag For 23 Minutes Strait A Week Out From Fight With Georges St-Pierre At UFC 158.

George gets the last 2 minutes?
Nick is fast but has no power. I love Nick and would love to see him beat GSP, but if there is any fight George can take some chances and strike more, this is it. Hope these 2 go at it and we don’t see lay and pray crap. This is very impressive though, as he never slows down.
this means nothing, everyone’s favorite fighter on the plannet, AKA GSP will r*** him, exactly how I drea every night he rapes me except I’d love it
Nick has been working his ass off you can tell he is in shape and that means one thing and that is he knows he has a mountain to climb March 16 and I hope he not only climbs that mountain but but steps right over it and then Chris get our middle weight belt back and maybe Pettis get our 145lb belt back, Americans having all the belts….,..sweet.
Very good. But speedbag…not hit back.
whats the point he’ll be on his back the entire time.
that looks exhausting
No power? Ask Daley, or Lawler about that. Either way, that is pretty badass he barely broke a sweat.
If anyone knows about boxing this is sick, Nick is a phenom fighter no matter what his mouth says.
Not exactly Floyd Mayweather!
just holding your arms with out hitting anything that long is very tiring lol
He has a guy toweling him off?!??!?! How pampered can you be?!
This won´t do against the top of the head of St Pierre when nick is on his back for 5 rounds
Doubt the impressiveness of this? I challenge you to just swing your arms at air how he’s doing. It takes some serious shoulder and arm strength. Most people commenting here won’t even be able to do 5 minutes with their arms falling off and gassing out. Nicks cardio is through the roof. A fighter who doesn’t get tired is one lethal mofo!
Everyone saying how fast nick is has no clue.Speed bag is all about timing,that was not that fast people.He proved he has spent countless hours on a speedbag and he has great cardio.
You think Nick has no power?? you must not watch any fights, because you are f****** dumb.
I think he did 25 minutes straight to emulate a full 25 minute match with no breaks because when the video started he was already punching and they were going by “rounds” as you hear “This is the final round” towards the end…
Nick has power and cardio, don’t know what these guys are talking about. The problem is he is going to be on his back the whole fight and his bjj might not be as good as Penn’s but he will not ever gas. Plus GSP will never finish Diaz so he has five rounds to find a sub.
Going to be a good fight I think, but I think it will look something like Benson Henderson versus Nate Diaz at the end.
Do you really expect me to watch the whole 23min? get a CLUE!!!!
Have to agree with greengiant. The speedbag is all about timing. I’m not a world-class fighter but I could do 10 minutes on a speedbag. I wouldn’t make it to 23 minutes not because my arms would be tired but because my timing would be off and I wouldn’t be able to keep the bag going. Don’t believe me? Try it…start learning how to use one at your gym, practice with it for about 1/2 hour a day. By the end of day 3 you will have it down. When you get the bag going you have to focus on it, the moment you let your mind wander that’s when your timing goes off and the bag gets out of sync with your strikes. You quit when you can’t keep the rhythm anymore, not when you get tired because you don’t really get tired to the point of exhaustion. Its not like running. Your not going to turn into a cardio machine by spending tons of time doing the speedbag. You may feel your triceps feel a bit tight afterward but your not going to wake up the next day all sore and worn out. I’m guessing Nate is doing this as a warm-up before the intense stuff of his work-out day.
that’s impressive. to anybody that says otherwise, try it at home…its not so easy. I cant keep the speed bag going for s***, but my buddy’s son is only 12 and he can keep it going for about 15 minutes. and he has ZERO training. the next Diaz maybe? lol I doubt it, but its worth mentioning. you never know
Good stuff but I doubt he could do that on a ball hook swivel, you wanna see speedbag skills..look up the godfather of sb Alan Khan.
Which is more impressive? Nick’s speedbagging or him being on camera for 23 minutes with his mouth open and nothing stupid was said?
Seriously, that was cool…
He looks motivated.. I dont know George
I feel bad for GSP! Because he is going to get KTFO!!
At the rate of speed he was going, I’d guess he did over 9000 punches
Simply put, that’s badass! Pulling for Nick. He definitely puts the work and time in. Would love to see a shake up in the welterweight division.
@TJ
s*** eh, I didn’t even notcice at first that it’s not a regular speedbag. so much easier on this equipment…never realized how big Diaz is before he cuts.
impressive timing for sure, this is going to be a great fight Nick has to win the battles in the standing clinches to win though
I love the “no power” squalling retards. Who is the only man to KO Jeremy Jackson? The only one to KO Lawler? One of only a couple to KO Frank Shamrock? Only one to KO Daley? Diaz has way more power than the commentators give him credit for, and on top of that power he can keep swinging for days without getting tired. He hits harder than Matt Hughes and has better cardio than Randy Couture. Not only that, he has a granite chin and possesses some of the nastiest subs there is. Even when he does get rocked he fully recovers in a matter of seconds. There is no question that Diaz has better striking and infinitely better subs than GSP. GSP has proven that he can’t take a shot and stay on his feet. Matt Serra KO’ed him and pillow hands Carlos the running man pretty much KOed him as well. If GSP wins this fight it will be via lay and hump for 25 minutes.
By the way, in his last 22 wins Diaz has finished 18 fights and the only time he was finished was against Jeremy Jackson over a decade ago.
If you look at recent fights you’ll see why GSP has lost half his fan base.
In the last 10 wins GSP’s opponents have taken him to the bell 7 times and he only finished 2 fights. Ever since he tapped to strikes against Serra he has been terrified to stand up and swing so he resorts to lay and hump.
In Diaz’s last 10 wins he’s finished 8 of them. And if there would have been rounds 4 and 5 he would have finished 9 because Penn couldn’t walk after three.
I almost expect GSP to duck Diaz and claim an injury again. On the feet, Diaz dominates. In subs, Diaz dominates. The only way for GSP to win is taking him down and hoping he doesn’t get caught in a sub and have his arm broken off.
@tempted
jeremy jackson ko’s diaz in their first fight… diaz submitted jackson in the second…
GSP will counter with teabagging for 25 minutes
that’s pretty crazy, my arms would fall off just holding them up for 5 minutes i can guarantee. He should be on survivor so he can win the competition where they hold the pole.
very impressive! gsp claims he has better boxing partners but he is not a better boxer than diaz period…
Nick should join the circus with that performance.
That was wild. I know that many of you agree that this sport attracts a lot of idiots and morons, many of which are commenting on this clip. Some can barely spell or speak English. And “dylan” obviously knows nothing about trainers and has never been in a boxing gym. Forget about the upcoming fight, just try and hold your arms out in front of you. Never mind the speed bag. Great video, very meditative.
Thanku to whoever mentioned Alan Khan’s speedbag skills. I just looked him up n damn, that’s so impressive. I’m sure he’s got sick boxing skills too with ridiculous timing. Also, this video was pretty bad ass as well.
people are getting confused. Nick doesn’t have much “power” but he does knock people out. he hits them like 50 times, which is impressive, then they get ko’d. when talking about “power” its like a shane carwin or johnny hendricks. the ability to knock someone clean out with one punch or flurry. diaz finishes guys by accumulated punches that eventually do enough damage that his opponent cant take any more.
Betting huge money that GSP is going down for the count!!!
I like diaz. he steps in the ring I’m happy.
@failsonnen
Nice dbz joke . ![]()
Sprinting > Marathon running. Stick with the speed bag, nick.

No Diaz KO’s Jackson in their second and submits him in their third.
@rockstarzee
He KO’d Lawler, Oishi and Daley with one punch.
He claimed that he DIDN’T have a guy toweling him off. Liar!
Luv Nick to KO Gsp, defo has the speed, power an engine. Just hope its not a humper, in which case snap an arm Nick, or ‘Go break a leg’ as they say..lol
