Nick Diaz On Inside MMA To Talk BJ Penn And Georges St. Pierre Video.
Nice.
Nick actually made sense in this interview. And is that a smile from Nick? Weird.
GSP will still wipe the floor with him though.
Wow! For the first time in an interview Nick didn’t come off as a douche.
we all wanna see diaz vs george. is goin to be a good fight i hope ![]()
hmm he sounds less of a retard compaired to his other interviews. gsp might be introuble in dis 1
nice interview. i just bought a DONT BE SCARED HOMIE tee bouts to put it on and go call people out to fight
You know you know you know… When Nick becomes champion they’re going to have to get him a speech coach for his public appearances. Go Nick!!
Cannabis is the drug of choice for Diaz. No doubt, he is a bit stoned at this interview. He is laid back, his anxiety is in check, the smile is friendly. He seems likeable. Will the UFC recognize and allow medical marijuana?
hard to watch people get patronized
@ jdogg: GSP wipe the floor with nick? LMAO…GSP hasnt wiped the floor in his last 10 fights!! no GSP will win another uneventful decision…a low kick here and there, a jab here and there, run, run, and a take down here and there…fight over. I just saved u $39.00 or whatever this costs.
Great Interview. Go Diaz!!
@JoeDog-LOL! Seriously!!! But I think its the states and the athletic commissions of the particular state that set those roles…I don’t think the UFC actually has any control over that…
I am by no means a Nick Diaz fan, but I will admit this, unless someone is laying on top of him doing nothing when has any of his fights been boring? Entertaining fights are getting harder and harder to come by, so I would actually like to see him beat GSP..
its kind of weird to see him smile.
nick was great against bj might be another story with gsp but a great fight anyways.btw nick looks calm and relaxed in this interview for a change
Nick has a lot of social anxiety, if he’s in front of a big crowd he seizes up and has a hard time keeping his head on straight. In smaller interviews he’s more comfortable and communicates much better.
for sure high only way he’s that happy
nothing wrong with that he’s more relaxed
I see GSP coming out with anger and aggressiveness and getting KO’d like he did against Serra. GSP is at his best when he point fights. He is not a KO artist or a high% finisher but he knows how to win. But even if he fights point style, Nick will make sure to pressure him into making mistakes all the while as he’s damaging GSP. If GSP goes for the takedown he will be exposed to one of the most dangerous ground game this side of the border!!! Go Nick “PR Expert” Diaz and great interview!!
I’m slowly building some respect for this guy. He’s making jokes, smiling, and say “you know” a little less…
I hate Nick Diaz, but I love em’. Does that make sense?
Nick Diaz wins by TKO! Mark My Words!
Retarded.
He looks way more relaxed here.. marijuana is a hell of a “drug”..
GSP by UD. He’ll bring it to Nick, whom I like as a fighter and athlete. It will be a great fight for sure…just think that GSP’s skillset improves with every fight, as does Nicks. It’s just that GSP already has a head start. Also I think GSP’s record surpasses Nick in terms of quality opponents top to bottom. That said, this is THE fight I have been waiting for!
yes cuz… U know… I got to… U know… stay in shape cuz… you know… I´ve been fight 5 rounds since… U know… my last like… U know …6 or 5 fights…. U know… so it´s like hard … U know… cuz you got to keep it up … U know… but then they gave a 3 rounder fights, so… U know….
God! Anoying bastard!
i normally rag on this guy with his ridiculous ramblings and whatnot but he came across very well in this interview. very charming and humble and funny here. he also pretty much admitted that GSP might kick his ass and I respect the fact that he’s humble enough to say that. I think stylistically he will be a very interesting fight because GSP has never fought anyone like him (very good bottom game and excellent striking). He has a similar skillset to Kenny Florian but he is more talented and more aggressive (and different weight class). I still expect GSP to win decisively (49-46) with a UD, but Diaz does have a chance, which is more than most people facing GSP have.
ahhaha just read some of the other comments – yeah he’s probably high in this interview. whatever, good for him. he earned it with that performance against BJ
Good interview I wish Bas would commentate for the UFC that my friends would be pure gold.
1. For Diaz to say he has fought the bigger names is ludicrous
2. What was with that laugh at :23 seconds hahahaha
Wow he kinda made sense!
Did he just say Carlos “Conduit?” Lol!
just for fun icounted…. you knows
Bas 0
Kenny 2
Nick Diaz 43 – and new reigning champion of you know
I’ve always liked diaz as a fighter, never thought he should’ve left the ufc. That said, I don’t believe there’s anybody in 170 that can defeat GSP at the moment, but diaz stands the greatest chance out of everyone. I see GSP mixing it up with some jabs and leg kicks, getting hit, then going for that takedown. Diaz might get a near submission, but will most likely be nullified by GSP’s superior wrestling. GSP by unanimous decision, again =[
Every time it comes near a fight Nick has to lay off the weed, so when we see him in interviews around fight time, he’s basically going cold turkey. So it’s no suprise he acts a little strange and suffers from anxiety and shyness around those times.
I guarantee you one thing, when he defeated BJ, after the fight he would have rolled the fattest blunt ever witnessed by man or beast. He would have needed to use two hands just to handle it and have his way with it. In stoner circles they call blunts of that magnitude a ‘goose neck’, because it’s around the dimensions of an adult male gooses neck. If and when he defeats GSP he will be rolling some kind of behemoth of which i don’t even know the technical terminology.
one key thing is, Bas and Kenny made Nick feel comfortable before going on air. I think many of the ppl surrounding him are harmful–they keep him being the “villain” to bank off of him. Most fights up until last few years Nick would after submbing or tko’ing a opponent he be checking on them or raising their hand in respect. I think his persona that everyone is out to get him is told to him by his handlers. Post fight interview Karyn was telling him no one wanted him not to succeed it left him baffled and confused. This just reminds me of Mike Tyson and what happened to him.
GSP wins by BF (butt-f*****) then he’ll go home n BF Firaz as well
nick does get shy in front of large crowds on a mic. most people do. but to just assume hes a pot head is stupid. almost no one can perform at the level he does and even occasionally smoke that crap. i used to try to smoke after my training or even just sometimes during the months before a fight. its impossible and brings u down. alot of people assume someone smokes because they look or act a certain way. everyone thinks i smoke because i have long hair. totally judging a book by its cover is wrong. period.
@Sean Vance
i agree with this, it will play out like anderson silva vs. damian maia, it will be slow and uneventful, GSP will lay on him and get the decision win, nick might hit him and rouse the fans for a couple of seconds but gsp will just take him down and lay on him. hence why i hate gsp, hence my name. i hate watching wrestling matches, gsp is not the champ in my book, he should take up WWE he could prolly make more money, lmao
@snype
Nobody assumes,Nick does smoke alot of weed and he admits it.And you would be suprised how many top level athletes smoke “that s***”.Olympic gold medalist Micheal Phelps smokes it,Diaz smokes and he’s the guy with the most cardio in the UFC.You just sound ignorant right now.You assuming weed makes you lazy or f**** your cardio up is in a way judging a book on his cover.Only lazy people get lazy on weed.
people are treating this guy like he’s a child. the dude doesn’t put his words together good… big deal. just let him fight! thats wear he really puts what really matters together good.
But i still can’t see him beating GSP. His sub defense is to good.
where not wear sry. lol
Diaz seemed…down right congenial I think for the first time in his career. Sh*t, they barely even talked to Chandler.
Far from a good interview but better then what he has done in the past. “Ya know” x 1000000
@kungfu ur real tough calling me names and talkin s*** over the internet. big man. i never said he didnt smoke THAT s*** i said u shouldnt assume it just cuz of the way he acts. and smokin weed impairs anyones athletic ability. not sayin it cant be over come. but imagine where someone could be if they didnt. and how many mma fights have u had bra?? how many hours u spend training??? wtf do u know about being a fighter??? dont talk s*** and call people names over no f***** computer. prolly just some kid who started watchin after ultimate fighter. go watch jersey shore ok, i dont talk no s*** over a machine. im here to talk mma thats it.
So you are here to talk crap then. Competing in MMA “brings you down” alot more than smoking weed does “bra”, a lifetime of joints “impairs your athletic ability” less than one head kick does. Being the kind of fighter that you claim to be also seems to impair your ability to remember what you just wrote or to debate intelligently
look i never said anythings wrong with smoking weed at all. i think it should be legal truthfully. but smoking weed and trying to be a top level fighter just doesnt go together. i used to smoke tons of weed but since ive stopped im doing much better now, feeling better and much more focused. so my outlook has changed on smoking. all im doing is speaking from my experiences. so stop gettin but hurt and thinkin u have to defend smokin weed. trust me, i know this website is full of smokers. not long ago, i was one of em.
