Diaz can’t make weight simply because he is NOT a lightweight. He is 6′ with a big frame. He’s known to have a good chin because he has smaller guys punching him. There is no way he would stand up to a welterweight punch and he knows it. That’s why every fight he kills himself to make lightweight (it’s only 160lbs in elite xc). He has slow hands and easy to hit. He will never make it to the UFC because there are too many hard hitting welterweights there. Oh yeah, if he makes lightweight at 155lbs in the UFC I’ll eat my socks!
