| Manny Gamburyan’s ankle lock attempt was not what took Nate Mohr out during their UFC 79 fight. | ![]() |
Though it appeared that Mohr had tapped to Gamburyan’s ankle lock attempt it was later revealed the ending was only after Mohr had torn his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) in his knee.
Mohr stated that as he was siting up to try and throw some punches when the knee popped. He let out a loud scream in pain and the referee stopped the fight. He never at any point tapped.
Thursday a trip to the doctor revealed a torn PCL. The MRI that was taken will let him know how bad it is when it comes back later in the week.
