loretta hunt should take mcneil’s spot on the show. i was quite impressed of her comments on the torres fight and mir’s commmentary. much better than anything mcneil woulda said.

that hunt br–d does not know a freaking thing about MMA that she does not find lead by someone with a half a brain. gotta give Dana his break…he made the MMA fight scene the success we see today. all these little whiners who would be unemployed if it was not for dana. Thy should be simply saying thank you for the dollars he puts in their pockets… including the Hunt br–d. This is the most exposure she got since she started writing and it was not because of her journalistic integrity, it was because someone thought it was garbage.

just because Franklin McNeil puts in his option doesn’t make him dead weight. He uses his “sources” to help his predictions and more times then not his “sources” turn out to be true. Like him or not he is doing his job just fine, you cant have everyone on the show have the same options.

Hunt is right. UFC is trying to come between managers and fighters. They’ve been trying to push their own 360 management deals on fighters and get a piece of the fighter’s sponsorship dollars. In these deals, managers would be cut out entirely. As stated in Hunt’s article, they’ve also been making attempts to get fighters to sign contracts backstage, while not in the present of management. I wonder why…

Dana ended up in this fiasco because he doesn’t know the first thing about how to deal with the media. First, the UFC doesn’t respond to numerous requests to be included in Hunt’s article. Then, instead of addressing the issues she brought up, he just blows up. He could have said something along the lines of “We’re trying to keep the backstage uncrowded.” For a promoter, he has terrible media relations skills. Worse yet, who was the dumbass who decided to release that video blog? Didn’t they see the controversy coming?
