He has had a long, decorated career and has lost his ability to absorb punches. He blacks out when he gets caught. He's 44 years old. He should retire because he's tainting a good career. Also, you can pretty much tell that Rich Franklin used to be a school teacher. He's probably the most educated/articulate MMA fighter I've ever heard in an interview. I agree with what he says about a Silva/Machida fight. It won't happen because they're teamates, and due to their counter-punching style it would probably make for a really boring fight. We'll let him fight a big name in Coleman..opps he's old and broke a hip. Okay we'll give him Heath "Stand-me-up" Herring, he seems legit enough to put an up-and-comer against. EliteXC is taking a page straight out of Dana's book. Everyone knows Shamrock, people still think he's 32 and halfway decent, but it's just another sacrifice getting thrown on the alter.
