The pound for pound list is shit.
GSP shouldnt be 2.
Who has he FOUGHT besides the same guys an a buncha lames.
What makes GSP almost 1? or even 2 for that matter?
Torres should be ranked higher.
Hughes 3x, Serra 2x, Penn 2x, Miller, Hieron, an Trigg arent even that skilled of fighters.
Miller played around there whole fight.
An GSP didnt finish him.
So what makes him 2 or even 1 IF he beats Alves.?

This is why i hate the Pound 4 Pound list or title even.

Maynard shouldnt beable to fight.

percycanfly… Hughes and Penn are not skilled fighters? Hughes is going to end up in the ufc hall of fame. Plus Josh Koscheck and Fitch are no push overs.What do you classify as skilled? Gsp is with out a doubt in the top 3. And btw Matt brown is going to beat Faber again.

Well GSP has a win over someone in the top 10 in BJ Penn. So I don’t have a lot of issue with him on the list. I don’t agree wtih Mike Brown being on the top 10 list. If he beats Faber twice, maybe I’ll reconsider. I admire Maynard’s heart, but in watching that video, it just seems so unlikely he can win an MMA fight. A grappling fight, maybe, but he just has to work too hard to even go for a take down and when he does, it’s not hard to see it coming. I wish him the best just the same.

A few things come to mind (not for the first time) after watching this Ep:
- Molly Quarim is SO LOVELY to look at
- I have nothing against KenFlo, but was there really any need to bring him in to do 50% of John Anics Intro?
- Franklin is an absolute goose, but the more you watch him the more his self affacing goofyness appeals
- Carano /Cyborg would be so awesome

Penn is a very skilled fighter.
In fact, Penn is my fav,
so I never said he wasnt.
An Hughes USED to be a skilled fighter.
He’s hit his Chuck days.
So its not impressive to beat a washed up hughes.

An Fitch, no he’s not a push over,
But Koes loses to all his real competition.

So, no i dont think GSP is top 3.
He can be on the list, but i dont see him as 1, 2, or 3.
An the fact they say his performance against Alves could bump him to 1 if he wins, REALLY?
Like ive said before, where would he be on that list had Penn actually came to fight an won?

To say GSP hasnt fought skilled guys is ignorant! Hughes like mentioned is going to be in the Hall of fame also sports a 42-7 record cmon now calling him unskilled is just down right disrespectful. He’s also beat Karo(top ten ww), Fitch(#3 ww), Sean Sherk(ex LW champ), Penn(a P4P top ten), Koscheck(top ten ww), also Trigg whos not as bad as ppl make him out to be he’s only lost to top notch guys.

Is anderson silvas record really that much more impressive. I’d argue no. Franklin and Hendo are definately quality wins. But outside of that? Leben? Lutter? not top ten guys and never will be. Marquardt before he hit his prime IMO he is a much better fighter now. Irvin fight doesn’t even factor in for me he’s basically a gatekeeper of the lhw div. And than the last two fights leites and cote where hardly spectacular.

I’m not trying to rag on Silva but to say GSP is deserving of the number 2 slot is silly its debatable who 2-4 should be and favoritism will always play a role in anyones list.

props to kyle and everything but I do not think he deserves so much media attention… Maybe if he won a fight give him like 5 articles on sherdog and put him on TV shows, but he is an MMA fighter with 0 wins and has more attention then Fedor. I am not trying to discredit him but the fact is he will most likely never be successful in his new chosen sport; MMA.
