At least Machida was able to finish Rashad.

Randy Couture Says, in 4-23-2012 at 21:26:40 from

Am I the only person who thinks this fight looked set up.

muwa99 Says, in 4-23-2012 at 21:31:37 from

Yes, you’re the only one.

RearNakedSmoke Says, in 4-23-2012 at 21:32:11 from

Can’t believe how flat footed Jones walks around the octagon. Surprised no one’s been able to exploit that.

wow Says, in 4-23-2012 at 21:34:42 from

Totally set up. Jon Jones knew exactly how hard to hit Rashad without knocking him out with multiple elbow and Rashad knew exactly how hard to take it to the face so that he would get massive bruises while almost knocking out…Wait…that’s f****** stupid.

Atheist basturd Says, in 4-23-2012 at 21:41:05 from

Yes Randy Couture you are the only one who thinks the fight was set up. Stop smoking pot and get out of your Mom’s basement you waste of life. I’m sure Rashad faked the huge hematoma over his eye too. I love this site, but the absolute stupidest people post here.

jpe326 Says, in 4-23-2012 at 21:45:21 from

@lando…that’s a pretty retarded remark. Jones was able to finish machida, and “ko faced” him just like machida did to rashad.

RetroSpiff Says, in 4-23-2012 at 21:59:31 from

I do not think the fight was set up at all. I do think that Jones had the ability finish the fight but he just didn’t pull the trigger. I think after Evan’s landed a couple right hooks Jones became too hesitant to really open up with combinations for fear of the counter right hook.

sammy Says, in 4-23-2012 at 22:21:56 from

just hope Jon is not turning into GSP and start playing it safe all the time. Jon could have finished that fight IMO

KungFuLowKick Says, in 4-23-2012 at 22:28:43 from

Another MMA conspiracy wacko.Only an ignorant idiot who never did any kind of combat sport in his life would think that was set up.The same kind of person who probably thinks Kimbo’s last fight wasn’t a dive.

Genghis Khan Says, in 4-23-2012 at 23:06:19 from

lol @ Randy Couture… you’re dumb kid. You’re just mad cause your boy Evans lost. and cut down on the crack makes you paranoid

HatersGonnaHate Says, in 4-23-2012 at 23:26:52 from

man goes the distance for the first time in 3 years and now he’s playing it safe … i think it was more about him over respecting rashad and not really wanting to hurt him … at the press conference he had nothing but good things to say about Evans despite all the s*** rashad had sad about him … its not unlike georges st pierres first fight with matt hughes where he didn’t perform up to standards because he was fighting his hero

mma made easy Says, in 4-24-2012 at 00:19:12 from

Take it as a compliment, Jones. When a dufus says its fixed, it’s ’cause you make it look easy.

King_D Says, in 4-24-2012 at 02:51:12 from

Great elbows..multiple elbows, he also did a jumping side kick to the leg during the fight… Being unpredictable and strong=BEAST!

T-Bone15 Says, in 4-24-2012 at 03:33:38 from

Anybody else see the Ali footwork Jones pulled in the 4th (I think it was the 4th). That encompassed everything that I don’t like about this guy. As far as Jones’s fight game goes he’s a beast and nobody can deny that he is skilled, but his personality bugs the sh** out of me! He used the vintage Ali dance around the ring footwork to continue on the comparisons between himself and Ali. So after the fight the media would suck his nuts for being like Ali. The interviews where he quotes him, the cover photo shoot for UFC magazine, all of it. If the dude is going to have his own legacy he needs to be him original and be his own f****** person. You don’t see Kobe quoting MJ, that’s why Kobe is my favorite active athlete because he is 100% original. He detests any comparisons to any great before him, and that’s why he will be an all time great. Jones won’t, he’s superficial and he is on borrowed time until he figures that out.

mscash Says, in 4-24-2012 at 04:49:20 from

Lol, too funny.

“At least Machida was able to finish Rashad.”
“Am I the only person who thinks this fight looked set up.”

@Coldshot is that you typing?

And now I’m reading on mmafighting.com that Hendo is also questioning Jones being genuine.

WTF? Same tagline as before with Rashad? Hendo is a tough old guy but seriously, he is the next threat to Jones at 205?

Here is my first thought on this fight … Jones beat shogun like a red-headed step-child…Hendo and Shogun had a tired old man fight and Hendo got the decision.

lol, I like MMA but the pecking order or supposed next top contender in the UFC is pure s***.

rockinout Says, in 4-24-2012 at 08:11:11 from

great fight, great fighters. Rashad had a good showing but it’s just not enough to dethrone Bones. I think Bones will finish Hendo, should be fun to watch.

vsmoove Says, in 4-24-2012 at 10:25:23 from

Nice elbow… surprised he didn’t follow up and try to finish… definetely wary of Sugar’s right hand.

Licks72 Says, in 4-24-2012 at 11:18:02 from

@Atheist Basturd- I don’t think pot would make someone say something as ridiculous as Randy’s remarks. I think Genghis Khan is closer- he’s got to be smoking crack.

greengiant Says, in 4-24-2012 at 12:24:33 from

jones leaves himself so wide open.someone will exploit that.

failsonnen Says, in 4-24-2012 at 15:02:56 from

Thats a crazy elbow strike move. Aioki tried the same move on Eddie Alvarez the same weekend but the difference is Aioki doesn’t have that 84″ reach advantage

Meltface Says, in 4-24-2012 at 17:24:03 from

@Lando at least Jon bones jones finished Lyoto Machida

flyingfish420 Says, in 4-24-2012 at 17:54:14 from

@atheist- What does smoking pot have to do with some fool who thinks the fight was set up? I just don’t see the correlation.

dub Says, in 4-24-2012 at 19:09:12 from

i don’t know if it was setup, but i also had some suspicion. as if, Jones was going easy on Rashad.. No judo throws, ground and pound.. very few spin elbows and hands.. hmm. Not sure..

FedorFailsAgain Says, in 4-24-2012 at 20:28:12 from

Forrest (Leap Frog) Griffin vs Rampage was a fixed fight…Jones vs Rashad, was not fixed. If you can’t see this, stay off the pipe. Uncle Dana should ask Jones to step up to Heavyweight like he asked Ace and Spider to step up to LHW. At least for a couple fights, he cleaned out the entire f****** division!

DanaWhite Says, in 4-24-2012 at 22:42:25 from

I find this .GIF very hard to m********* to.

Lando Says, in 4-25-2012 at 08:19:22 from

Machida dominated Jones the entire first round, landing many strikes, while Jones landed none. Jones just got a lucky choke in.

mscash Says, in 4-25-2012 at 13:39:22 from

@ Lando

A lucky choke? Seriously?

paddedummy Says, in 4-28-2012 at 03:41:28 from

MMA guys need to start to train actual MARTIAL ARTS and not just combat sports like kickboxing/boxing where 99% of the time the taller guy with more reach completely dominates like this. If Evans knew anything about covering his center line and basic trapping he wouldn’t get hit like that and would have known what to do when monkey arms started grabbing his wrists before popping him

Sidekickz Says, in 5-25-2012 at 20:00:33 from

You all know so much more than both those fighters, you should all go pro and show them how its done.
