did crocop’s kick cut silva’s head?

What a fight. Why can’t Cro Cop fight like that in the Octogon.

Lets hope they match him with Avlowski in Jan and he can get striking again.

Yes…Cro Cop’s LHK split Silva’s head open.

This is a great fight, and I indeed hope Cro Cop comes back with this kind of intensity. He is a very exciting fighter to watch, and I think he still has a few good fights left in him.

Silva’s downfall is his disdain and disrespect of other fighters. He seems to hate everybody else, and that hate gets the better of him during a fight.

At the end, Trigg and the other commentator were talking about a cross promotional fight between Silva (Pride) and Chuck (UFC)…and we saw that w/Chuck and Rampage. What I don’t understand is…why couldn’t the UFC do that w/M1 ala Randy and Fedor?

This is the fight that changed Silva’s career. His first mistake which my buddies and I saw before the fight was that he came in 4 lbs. heavier than Cro Cop.

Silva’s dynamic fighting style is all about pressure and speed, he hits you with punches, kicks and knees that come from nowhere. I don’t believe he threw or attempted a kick during this fight. When you are a 205 lb fighter you need at least 6 months at your heavier weight to adjust your timing and conditioning for that extra weight.

I also saw the first fight between these two when Cro Cop was with K1 they had a special rules fight. If both guys went the distance it would be a draw. Anyhow I thought that Silva got the better of him in that fight as it went the distance and he fought him at his natural 205 lbs.

Regardless, kudos to Cro Cop, he earned the tournament crown and gave a legend like Silva the worst beating of his career fair and square. I too would love to see them fight once more, but only if Silva stays at his natural weight.

My prediction for December 29th is that Silva makes his comeback after two huge ko losses, with a huge ko win. This should set up the Quinton vs Silva 3 fight which many want to see. Let’s face it no one has owned Quinton like Silva has through those two brutal beatings he handed out.

Nevertheless, things are looking great for future super bouts in the light heavyweight division at UFC.

One of the big reasons Cro Cop is having a hard time in the Octagon is because of his size. Cro Cop doesnt cut weight… he is a small heavy weight… freakin Rampage Jackson is the same size as Cro Cop. So he is just getting bullied around in the octagon and he cant even work his magic hes too small.

i dont see a point of randy and fedor fighting its not a fair fight fedor is just so much better than randy but so many ppl wanna see that fight and i do now too just so i can see randy get his face smashed in. and rampage go beat pretty bad by shogun. and rampage is a much better fighter now than he was then but i still gotta give the fight to silva if they fought for a third time i mean rampages just doesnt and never has been able to stand a chance with silvas style of fighting. i do hope cro cop does go back to the cro cop of old

David Says, in 11-14-2007 at 02:01:42 from

crocop has said himself he CAN NOT make 205, besides if he went to 205 he would have to cut workout on his thunder thighs which is where the power shown in this video is all coming from. I really hope cop can come back and take the title. Great fight tho good post

lol thats good youd like to waste your money on that fight i jist cant see randy winning that fight not even a little bit he is way out matched but then again i would pay to see them fight just cause that one be one hell of a knock out by fedor

What a great fight…Cro cop is still my favorite fighter. Hes humble beast. I dont agree with the videos info. I think even if silvas eye wasnt swolled up he wouldve lost. earlier in the fight he almost went down with the right hook. Silva is one of the best fighters in the world but theres always someone that has your number…

vergil Says, in 11-16-2007 at 10:53:31 from

i hope that the 2007 version of cro cop is just a phase that will end in 2008. he lost to gonzaga (who has potential) and kongo and both of these guys are crap. gabe’s not that bad but kongo is a crap crap crap fighter. cro cop come back!!! for me it will always be fedor, cro cop and big nog (and yes, i think cc is better that nogueira and he can beat fedor).
the big three :) they should form a band tccc :)

nobody just like you Says, in 11-17-2007 at 13:15:52 from

i agree lets say silvas eye was too swollen or whatever how did he get it there by cro cop straight left that dropped him. so if you think about it silva just got whooped on and the kick was just the final nail on the coffin. all the damage he sustained was by cro cop its not like he went into that fight looking and being that beat up so why make excuses for silvas unevitable knock out

I don’t know how anyone could count Randy out of any fight. He has to be one of the most intelligent, well-rounded, and experienced fighters out there. Sure he’s old for the fighting game, but we’ve seen him take out many younger stronger fighters just by sticking to a game plan and using his strong points against their weak points. Randy is definetely a contender against anyone…..except maybe Anderson Silva if they were the same weight class.

Sanchez took a beating,

Gonzaga got a lucky high kick to the head. That was Just a lucky shot :)…..GONZAGA KNOWS THAT WAS AN ACCINDENT . IN A REMATCH CRO COP WOULD DEFINETLY PUT AWAY FOR GOOD.

AND BY THE WAY, THAT FIGHT WITH KONGO THEY CHEATED CRO COP. Mcarthy should have disqulified kongo for kneeing him in the groin two different times. All Mcarthy did was give BITCH ass Kongo a warining. That was Bull s***. After the second knee to the groin how would anyone expect for cro cop to remain fighting 100 percent. CRO COP IS THE BEST STRIKER IN THE WORLD U FOOLS.
