It was back in forth cheap shots the match. I saw Crocop constantly holding from the start aggressively which equals to mild head butts, I saw a knee to the groin which the ref say, a lot of pushing, all that equals to frustration for both fighters which eventually led to the obvious cheap shots from both sides

For those who disagree…see Marquardt vs Paul Harris for verification. Marquardt’s shots at an unsuspecting Paul Harris = ok…Blake against CC = cheap. Both are legal.

legal cheap shots are just as bad as illegal cheap shots period…some of the commenters here are lacking honor, integrity, and class. Even a cheap shot that answers a cheap shot is wrong. There is an honorable way to fight and there is an honorable way to live one’s life. They are the same.

Technically you’re right, there’s nothing “wrong” with the shot – its kind of like hitting a guy when they come out to touch gloves, however. Its within the rules, but certainly not honorable.

I say shot was cheap but totally legal so depending on how you look at things you may or may not think it was cheap. Had the punch ko’ed Cro cop I think more people would agree that is a cheap way to win a fight you are losing. Taking a shot on the button from a pro fighter when you are not ready can ko any man. Good thing those gloves are so big

Crocop never stopped fighting even when he should have retired after pride open weight tournament. Maybe winning this tourney will finally mark the end or just a new beginning……..

Yes in the “rules” you can punch somebody while he,s apologizing but that doesn’t make you less of a coward.One time my boxing gym had an event and I was cornering one of the young guys.He won by TKO but he punched the guy when they were touching gloves then punched him a couple more times and it was over.He was proud until he saw my coach’s face.Me and my coach apologized to the other corner and for the next month,we told guys at our gym to sucker punch him when he was touching gloves.No to hard,but just to show him how much of a coward he was.It’s legal but classless.People who approve cheap shots like that are cowards.

How is that a cheap shot? The ref said FIGHT. You can’t just decide to put your hands down and pause the fight at your leisure.
