What happened to this guy? He used to be one of the most feared heavyweight strikers in the world, until Gonzaga’s left leg and Overeem’s knee put him in check… but still, he just ran a clinic on takedown defense, sick hands, and “ay yi yi” kicks… wish the old cro cop would come back
cro cop needs to grow some balls lol.
hahahah i love that cro cop tries to help heath up, and hes like “….no way”
Damn… I knew Herring has always sucked… but now I know he always swallowed too!!!
And to think every one was making a huge fuzz about Lesnar beating him… I mean defeating him, not really beating… this was a beating!!
CroCop at his minty-freshest. Herring? Weakest-shots-ever.
what the fuck was that?
damn I never seen a good heath herring fight this guy always gets his ass kicked by top guys…haha cro cop trying to help him up…so thats where anderson silva got it from
Gotta love that liver kick.
Damn I miss that guy and these kind of fights.Mirko needs to grow some bigger balls just like the ones he used to have.
what a hard kick to the body, heath herring didnt really have anything left to do but flop to his back and turtle
Somewhere, at that moment Heath’s liver started to swell… Bas Rutten had an orgasm.
And say what you want… Heath was up within a few seconds of that last kick. 99.999% of the rest of the planet literally dies right there.
We all get old.
i love it when they realize there ribs are broken like 2 seconds after the kick, really excites me and then the loin finishs off the injured prey
‘lion’ maybe
sick sick sprawl by mirko..
FYI - Herring soundly finished Tom Erikson and Mark Kerr with style at a time when they were elite fighters thought to be unbeatable.
Herring was more than a legit opponent, possibly the favorite to some people, against Crocop who was thought of as a one dimensional striker.
I think the part most lacking in current Crocop is his takedown/clinch defense. He used to be so good on his feet that you couldn’t get him in a bad position -ie like one where you could land knees at will like you can now.
Cro cop in roids is so much more fun to watch.

In my opinion the problem is that the book has pretty much been written on how to nullify his striking: keep coming forward. In his prime he was able to really set up his kicks, and wise opponents no longer afford him the opportunity to do so. They push forward and he continues circling and waiting and trying to set up, and it just never happens–frankly, the same can be said of Liddell. One would hope he would learn from his last few bouts and change up his gameplan, but in the Overeem fight, nutshots notwithstanding, it looked like the usual backpedaling–and losing–Crocop.
nice liver kick Cro Cop kicks like a f ing mule
I don’t think he’s as far gone as it seems. Take a look at his last couple of losses. He got surprised by Gonzaga. That can happen to anybody. His loss to Congo (a pivotal fight in his career) was absurd. Repeated, clearly intentional shots to the groin completely turned that fight around. Look at the difference between round 1 and round 2. Then there’s Overheem. Although the groin shot wasn’t intentional, you can’t really say what would have happened if he didn’t take that knee. I mean we all know that it doesn’t take much of a mental lapse for Crocop to kick your head into the next state. Considering that, there really haven’t been any fights where he got BEAT beat. He’s racked up a couple of “L”s, but that doesn’t always tell the whole story. He is still an explosive striker with outstanding takedown defense and he’s still my favorite fighter. Wait and see. He’ll be feared again as soon as he gets a few more good fights in.
A few observations
1) Crocop used to be very very good. Now he is very very average.
2) Herring looks in 10x better shape here than any of his UFC fights
3) That was a waaaaaaaaay late stoppage
commentaires en français! merci MMATKO
