He was incredibly mean and his opponent knew that he was facing a man in Mike Tyson that had nothing but bad intentions, intentions of knocking you completely out and would feel good in his heart for doing it. I have watched fights for over thirty years and there has never been anyone that dominated like Mike did, in the way that he did it. He was cruel, ferocious and wanted nothing more than to inflict not only physical punishment, but emotional punishment as well. And this is what made him one of the greatest, intimidation fighters of all time. He will ALWAYS be remembered. Log in to Reply sleeping dawg September 17, 2013 Mike Tyson- the savage. Floyd Mayweather- the tactician. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick September 17, 2013 The difference between Tyson and Mayweather is that EVERYBODY wanted to see Mike fight. Even people who didn’t watch boxing. Floyd’s fight are so boring and uneventfull that most people, even boxing fans don’t bother buying the PPV. Tyson bringed some animalistic intensity that you knew somebody was getting hurt. With Floyd you know it’s gonig to be a 12 round snoozefest with less then 20 punches landed per rounds… Log in to Reply shocktime September 17, 2013 Tyson=Wanderlei he goes for the finish full force Mayweather=GSP great fighter, but play it safe because he doesn’t want to lose. Log in to Reply drewblood September 17, 2013 “i was that savage dog. malevolent aura.” i concur sir! well said! Log in to Reply greengiant September 18, 2013 @KungFuLowKick – Your right but, this is whats going on. Since boxing has went down hill so much boxing fans have chosen floyd as their got to guy by default because they don’t have much to choose from. Then most of them buy the ppv. If no one bought the ppv he could not make the money he does. Its just the ones buying it are the hardcore boxing fans. If this was back in the day when boxing was great then floyd would not even be top 20 in popularity. Hardcore boxing fans are latching on to him. He is not a fighter like tyson,he is a defensive counter boxer. Floyd is not even close to being the best of all time in any division. He lacks guts/power and won’t take any risks. Its amazing how people need someone to look up to so much they choose who ever is available at the time by default. Everybody wanted to see Tyson back in his prime. I remember Tyson going to Russia and other foreign countries and being treated like royalty. I would like to see Floyd go to Russia and try to get some love out there. Floyd is boring regardless of what his insane nuthuggers say. His nuthuggers can’t dispute the fact that Floyd wasn’t even a ppv draw until he fought De La Hoya. Only hardcore boxing fans knew who he was and the casual boxing fans got to know who he was on HBO’s 24/7(De La Hoya). Of course, everybody that watched those 24/7 episodes ordered the ppv because they wanted to see Floyd lose because he played the heel and ran his mouth. I swear ever since then a majority of the people that order Floyd’s fights order it only to see him lose. I don’t care how skilled a fighter is, if he plays it safe all the time he’s just plain boring. Floyd is such a safe person that he has bodyguards the size of trees protecting him. Mike Tyson in his prime use to be up and down NYC by himself. NYC during the 80s was not the safest of places for a millionaire to be roaming around alone. Tyson even beat the crap out of Mitch Green in the middle of Harlem at 4 in the morning with no bodyguards. Floyd isn’t anything but a big mouth fake gangster who acts like he has a ton load of money. The only reason he came out of retirement is because he owed the IRS money and the bank repo’d his Maybach. Google that! I could sit here all day and respond to idiot comments like what this genius just wrote lol ….but I have better things to do Log in to Reply Metta87 September 19, 2013 Last ive heard from mma guys is that boxing is dead, it doesnt sell no more… Buhahahahahahaha Log in to Reply Facefrack September 20, 2013 @Paddedummy: It is a good thing you are padded, dummy. Log in to Reply Machete September 20, 2013 @ High Stakes “I could sit here all day and respond to idiot comments like what this genius just wrote” First off I have to thank you for acknowledging me as a genius. I spit facts buddy. I research before I talk unlike you. The LA Times 6 days ago put out an article of the top 10 all time grossing boxing ppv events and none of Floyd’s fights prior to the De La Hoya fight was on that list. Like I said, the hardcore boxing fans who watch every single boxing fight that they possibly can knew who Floyd was prior to the De La Hoya fight. The casual (fake) boxing fans, the ones that only watch 2 to 3 ppv events a year and nothing else didn’t know who he was. Those 24/7 episodes leading up to the De La Hoya fight took Floyd from a star to a super star. And the only reason that the De La Hoya/Floyd fight is the highest grossing fight is because Floyd trolled everyone on 24/7. He played the heel and people ordered it just to see him lose. Floyd is no different than Chael Sonnen with his mouth. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
