I was pleasantly surprised that Palhares let go within an acceptable time from when the referee stepped in. Massenzio sat there trying to decide if he was going to tap – bad move, especially with Palhares.

For the record, I still think that Palhares is a dickwad for his previous instances of holding on well past the referee’s wishes to stop.

Tell me how referring to a big strong man with no mention of his ethnicity as an ape is racism please. The people saying that calling him an ape is racist are being the racist ones. No one said he is an ape because of his background. They were referring to his size, strength and raw animal power. Obviously some of you need to check yourselves with your holier than thou b.s. You are saying that Brazilians resemble apes and that it should be taboo to mention a Brazilian man and an ape in the same sentence. That’s some racist stuff.

to murell : i dont think he can beat anderson, anderson matches up good against him and can definetely knock palhares out, possibly very quickly. with chael he matches up perfect, and i would bet all my money on palhares on that case, but against silva..not looking so good for palhares,he’s shorter slower has and has no stand up, think about it.
