mizugaki impressed me… torres def won but a rematch would be very viable awesome fight!
hey bruno thanks for the post.ive been having problems watching the most recent videos.my plug ins are up to date, any suggestions would be very much appreciated
Bruno: Are you unable to load it at all or is it just slow. Rutube videos are slow for people in the US but they are one of the few sites that will host one of the long videos without taking them down fast. Here in Germany it only take 20 seconds to load the whole video.
Be very careful of sites using megavideo to show you videos. It is easy to hide Trojan virus programs in the buffer overflow when using Megavideo. There are a few known MMA sites that try to load Trojans on your computer.
I like Miguel Torres quite a bit and I respect his skills but I’m getting kind of tired of the biased commentary in these bouts, especially from Frank Mir. Mizugaki could have easily been ahead at the end of the first round and probably the third as well. Torres has good head movement but Takeya landed a lot of those punches that Frank said missed. He also dropped Miguel a couple times just by throwing him down. I just hate how nobody is calling the fight while Mizugaki is landing serious combinations because they’re too busy talking about how great Torres is.
touch gloves now go back to your gloves
Agree on the biased color, I thought Torres actually fought poorly. No low kicks, not enough jab, backed away straight back that’s why he was getting caught with those lunging hooks, ducked under too much and got caught with knees. Did not take the fight to the ground, only made one attempt.
I think he made this fight a lot harder than it had to be.
I totally agree with danada. Many times I was wondering if I was watching the same fight that Mir was. Mizugaki won the first and third on my card. Props to the judge that had the guts to score those rounds against Torres.
bruno,im in ireland and the videos were working fine until a couple of days ago.when i hit play,it starts but it keeps skipping and its got that circle in the middle with numbers in it all the way through the video like stopping and starting all the time.thanks for the advice.excellent site i told all my friends and fellow judokas about it.
Bruno: Have not had that problem come up before. It is coming from the video hosting site and not MMATKO. All I do is link to the video, it is not hosted on my site. It looks to be a problem with the host and I have no control over that. Sorry.
Eh I saw some pretty basic thai counters used by Mizugaki and they were landing. I think Torres was stunned a couple times, not serious or anything. They both have good chins. Japanese fighter seemed physically stronger although he got caught in the thai clinch where leverage rules and not so much strength. Torres could have easily lost had judges been neutral. Good fight
agree with the bias commentating. usually like mir’s commentating though.
Fuckin QUICK strikes
hate the bias commentating
im having real trouble watching part 1 and 2, the video loads and i can click foward and backward in the video and see still pictures but it will not play by itself. any ideas?
Bruno: Clear you cache and reload. It is working fine for me.
such BS commentary… hey theres two fighters…
great fight……..weird commentary
since when has fatigue got anything to do with scoring? if it did you could just get haile gabri selassie to run round and round the cage, the other bloke would be knackered from chasing him and he would win on points by out fitnessing him
commentating here is SO BIASED. lmao.
seems like this fight did a good job of reminding us, that when we says things like “best bantamweight in the world” that we need to keep in mind, the world is a pretty big place.
Frank Mir must be gay for Torres.
Wow… starting to dislike frank mir cause of this bullshit commentating.
Thanks Bruno for uploading this.
Bruno: No Prob.
Er Linking rather
what fight was Frank Mir watching ? Mizugaki was taking it to Torres and landed a few hard shots. This was a very close fight … just wish Mir would shut the fuck up and comment on the fight instead of sucking Torres off for 5 rounds … Mizugaki would land hard shots or get the better in the stand up and Mir would either say nothing or be busy biggin up Torres
Frank, please take Torres’s balls out of your mouth, it doesnt make you look good.
OMFG! while watching it live I was like….Frank Mir better stfu!! he was so Biased and sucking off Torres the whole time..He really pissed me off mizugaki was so awesome and put on a spectacular fight, no one thought it was going to happen and he threw down till the end!! I’m a fan of Mizugaki now, cant wait to see him fight again, very tough guy!
I agree jabbyjap,
I thought Torres had a terrible game plan. He fought with his balls and heart instead of his head, but in his defense, it’s gotten him this far.
I was surprised he didn’t keep distance, work of his jab and those nasty leg kicks, then when Miz closed the distance clench him, dirty box him against the cage, then take him down. I know he had problems taking him down, but a more varied and persistent attack would have worked I thought. Torres had so many advantages physically and in his skill set that he didn’t use. He should take a page out of GSP’s book and utilize the Mixed in MMA a little more. That being said, I still think he’s among the top 3 p4p in the world.
i think torres didnt wanna finish it on the ground i remember him saying he wanted to beat his opponents at their game so he kept it a stand up war
