Anyone taking the “early stoppage” comments seriously is a moron. That said, Torres got a little too excited at the end. He was probably aware of the fact that he was losing the round because of the early knockdown and went in for the kill. Bowles did well to take his shots (good chin) and level him again with that counter as Torres was rushing in.

That Bowles can take a punch and give one too. Smart defense by moving back and doing the old rope a dope, he caught his wits and threw a very accurate punch. NO LUCK ABOUT IT. Bowles has the power – sent a message early. Torres is a great fighter too. A rematch is in the making.

I agree…very early stoppage. In my opinion, Torres was playing rope-a-dope quite convincingly. When you’re playing rope-a-dope, you’ve gotta commit and commit all the way or it’s not gonna be believable and your opponent is gonna catch on. The way Torres’ body went limp and his head was bouncing off the canvas with each punch that Bowles inflicted on his face, you’d think that he really was knocked out cold. He had everybody fooled, even the doctors. Get that man a freaking Hollywood contract. Micah, that was a freaking hilarious comment.
