Buying PPV boxing is like flushing your money down the toilet!!! Log in to Reply keyboardcowboy December 4, 2011 justice! Log in to Reply gunnyhighway99(Panama) December 4, 2011 Sweet revenge for Cotto. Excellent game plan to go after the eye, and it worked out. It’s pretty clear to me that Margarito was using loaded wraps in his first fight, and without them his brawling, power style just isn’t the same. Margarito got outboxed, but I hope his eye is still good enough to continue fighting. Log in to Reply MMA = Boxing December 4, 2011 OMG! Why this people are so straight forward at the end with the questions. That last question to the doctor was unbelievable. I can’t imagine Joe Rogan asking this type of questions after the fights and even worst making the Doctor feel guilty for his decision while interrogating him. Asking a Doctor to give explanations is not professional at all. Log in to Reply Margarito Lost! December 4, 2011 Goddamn! Log in to Reply myself December 4, 2011 @jjrhodes what are you talking about…..have we seen the same fight??? it was a great fight…..maby the stoppage was a little bit early but after the damage he took from pacquiao, it was ok. i mean i was realy enjoying watching this fight…..good pace, good pressure, good technique and great movement from cotto. and the rios fight was also very good. compared to the last night ufc card it was amazing. Log in to Reply Seksbeast December 4, 2011 @jjrhodes Early stoppage? Are you blind? His right eye was completely close, any further damage was unnecesary. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick December 4, 2011 Margarito used to be a slow tough fighter fighter with “heavy hands”.Now without his loaded handwraps he’s just a slow tough fighter with medium punching power.I can’t get enough footage of that pubes flasher ******* getting his ass kicked. Log in to Reply ETK December 4, 2011 Margarito’s punches did not have the same effect on Cotto as in their 1st fight. Margarito can lie and boast claiming Cotto’s punches don’t hurt him, but without his wraps loaded Cotto can claim the same. Cotto has some nice moves, and I think he is strong, but his style and strategy overall is very annoying and frustrating to watch. Log in to Reply dave December 4, 2011 in no way an early stoppage you idiot. Boxing and MMA both rule so stop making it look like mma is far superior this was a great fight by Cotto and justice was delivered Log in to Reply ThatDude December 4, 2011 Good for Miguel, This proves Margacheata was Cheating Log in to Reply Doyle Brunson December 4, 2011 As much as I wanted to see Margarito continue to get his ass beat his eye was literaly swollen shut. Boxing sucks. Log in to Reply xformat December 4, 2011 jjrhodes is correct, Margarito was always pressing forward, always aggressive regardless of the condition of the eye, wanted to continue to fight….ridiculous stoppage well before it needed to be stopped. What’s ironic is that Cotto punched Maragito’s face much more often and cleanly in the first fight than in the second, but THAT fight wasn’t stopped. However, this is a completely different fight from the first. Cotto wasn’t cut or nearly as beat up in the first fight. Margarito didn’t seem to have the confidence with his punching “power” in the first fight. During the first fight, Margarito seemed to know that he was going to beat Cotto to a pulp, and did so. But as of last night, that confidence wasn’t present nor were the type of punches or aggressive attitude. This all really makes you wonder about what was really in the gloves of Margarito during the first fight. In the end, Cotto kicked Margaritos butt hands down and walking away. Log in to Reply WTFson December 4, 2011 counter puncher cotto landed all kinds of strike on the face of margarito which also shows his toughness. I gotta give both guys respect they fought hard, what a pace! Log in to Reply whitekimbo December 4, 2011 missed this one . thanks for the boxing vids ! Log in to Reply Turboobsessed December 4, 2011 The stoppage was not early! His eye was completely shut! I was rooting for Margaritto, but when you see someone getting hit repeatedly on the same spot where it already has been damaged before it should not continue. The fight was great! Quit it with this “Now We Know He Was Cheating!” bullcaca! Cotto was smart and kept away from the ropes in this fight compared to the last fight. He Avoided A Lot More Shots! Learn to observe fights people. This is why Cotto Outboxed Margaritto. Props to both fighters though. No Hugging and Kept Swinging! Great Fight! Log in to Reply iamgloverj December 5, 2011 Awesome fight. I thought it was an appropriate stoppage, although it looked as though antonio was begining too wear cotto down. I’d like to see a third fight. Log in to Reply mmasauce December 5, 2011 IMO the only reason why Margarito’s punches weren’t “effective” is because he wasn’t able to clearly land as many as he did in the first fight which was due to Cotto’s footwork and ring generalship. Cotto simply boxed more effectively, clinched, applied more ring generalship and paced himself compared to the first fight. With or without plaster, Marga still has the power to hurt Cotto and was hurting Cotto. Just because Cotto’s face wasn’t as busted up as the first doesn’t mean that he wasn’t getting hurt. I’m glad that Cotto won, but I wish it went the full twelve as both were able to continue. Log in to Reply daimai December 5, 2011 … would have love to see the fight go on but his right eye was gone. Bruno you are the man. Thanks for all the fight videos. Cheers…..from India Bruno: Thanks for all your visits. Log in to Reply xformat December 5, 2011 Yes, the right eye was gone, but Marg was more than willing to fight and wasn’t hurt to the point of being unable to fight. Not once did we ever see any body language from Marg that would suggest that the fight should be stopped. There are hundreds of other fights where an opponent had a swollen shut eye, but because of effective boxing skills, the fight was allowed to continue on. Bruno, you tell me….since when does “a punchers chance” not apply? Marg was absolutely in the fight, not once ever rocked or hurt. He never once lost his balance or looked like he was wobbled or injured to the point of losing his balance or coordination. If you’re not being “rocked”, then you should always have the opportunity to continue. Am I wrong? Log in to Reply xformat December 5, 2011 Just watched the full fight again. This is perhaps the worst stoppage I’ve ever witnessed in my 30+ years of watching fights. Log in to Reply Seksbeast December 8, 2011 Ahhh! Come on! Im Mexican and I’m glad they stopped the fight, Margarito could have lost his vision in the right eye and not fight again. He fought coming out of a surgery from that same eye!!! Log in to Reply puropr March 11, 2012 Nothing like a good fight, we love to fight fair, but will get you anyway. Cotto showed the heart that the Americans saw when 1918 came around. We also showed the same heart in WW11 and In Korea, yet we are still waiting for our recognization for those fights. We are still owed Purle Hearts by the dozens for those we sacrificed in those fights. We will get that whcih is ours even with the racism clouding our heroism. Siempre para delante, nunca para atras.
