This fight will be reminiscent of the Jens pulver vs. Bj Penn I fight at UFC 35. Meisha has all the experence in MMA but everybody thinks Rousey will destory her. Regardless of a her background in Judo, he MMA experience is still developing… Just because Penn was a blackbelt BJJ, doesn’t mean he was ready for his title shot after winning 3 pro fights. All i am saying is, you can doubt Meisha and think she doesn’t have a chance because Ronda’s been running thru oppenents just like Penn did in his first three Pro fights. What should be observed is what happens if the fights goes to the 2nd and 3rd round and conditioning comes into play? Ronda’s been winning all her fights so quick that who knows if she really does have good cardio or not.

@ Wow.. She made 135lbs thru a strict diet and cutting a few pounds of water. Not thru cardio exercises. Just because you weigh 135lbs doesn’t mean you have good cardio. Cardio is something you have to work for, that is why you see alot of fighters with poor cardio because they hate running or doing aerboic exercises

i think this isnt a good match up for miesha tate beacuse shes a wrestler/ ok striker and rounda is judo/ good submission … it depends on rounda chin and miesha tate take down defense and submission defense beacause if it goes the distance then i see rounda winning by sub. or miesha laying and praying

@ Wow – Meisha has a good chance, and we will see how well Ronda’s cardio really is. Don’t talk about the past because it has nothing to do with what will happen tonite. Yes she is olympic level judo and a decorated champion the list goes on and on, but this isn’t judo…. The same can be said for BJJ… When you are in MMA, you are in mma. It’s not a Judo or BJJ matchup. If Ronda uses up all her steam going for throws and takedowns and can’t finish her in the 1st, and she burns herself out which is very possible, we will see how she can overcome it. She is very aggressive and like to finish fights fast, that is good for some but you need to know what it’s like to be truly tested.
@ El shogun – Like i mentioned above, all her judo level training is in the past. Cardio is something you got to work to keep… Just because she did it before doesn’t mean she is in the same shape at that point in her life. She is winning her fights too fast to determine if she really has a gas tank in MMA. THis isn’t a judo match… you have to train and condition your body different. Just because you’re a sprinter doesn’t mean you can go run a marathon….get it!

Well Ronda has promoted the hell out of this fight, and it defineltly got more attention that strikeforce’s HW grand prix… I think she talks too much, but she’s smart in the sense of bringing people attention to the sport and marketing herself… smart girl!!!
