Ultimate Challenge MMA 29 bout between Michael Page (2-0) vs. Jefferson George (0-1). Fight took place on August 18th 2012.
Bellator? Ok he’s on his way to the UFC watch
Title shot at 0-1? Hook me up with one of those. Page was entertaining against an amateur opponent, would like to see him fight someone real and have to get serious. These commentators are so horrible it hurts to listen to them. Thanks for the post Bruno, this guy looks to be possible up and coming star
what a joke, this was not even a MMA fight what is the ref separating them in the clinch. not impressive at all.
Someone will eventually put some mustard on that hotdog.
It’s easy to talk bad about Page and his cocky style against these nobody’s, but Page has some real talent.
Gonna be interesting to see him in Bellator.
hell yea, he has that jump in and attack like lyoto machida, Ill definitely be watching this guy
MVP!!
dumbest crap ive ever seen. bad ref. terrible league. bring this whack ass over to a real promotion. watch what happens.
he will get takendown and beat down in the ufc,
Seriously, why are people talking about the promotion, competition or his style? MVP was only 2-0 coming into this fight. He will continue to improve and get better. Bellator will be a good place for him. Maybe even lose a few fights, but he’ll make it to the UFC someday and be successful. I do think his style is a bit cocky never putting his hands up, but can’t wait to see what he can do vs. a wrestler or better striker.
Idk why everyone’s complaining, this fight was entertaining as hell, and it was an interesting matchup considering jefferson was just as athletic as page…page was just better at it. However, It looked more like kickboxing.
Page has always been entertaining. I’ve loved watching his fights. That being said, he’s sloppy and flashy. He’ll be seeing stars in the first minute if he tries that s*** in the states.
Reallynow ref said K! rules at the beginning that is why he reffed it like that 0-1 and 2-2 amatuer and a title fight now thats interesting. Cant tell if this guy is good yet TBH but he sure does fight stupid.
An MMA match without clinch or takedowns isn’t really an MMA match. Cung Le would wipe the floor with these jokers.
@mma101…that is very true and I am eager to see it when it happens. Lets just hope someone uses too much mustard accidentally when it inevitably happens ![]()
hahaha at the end the girl says “wow the crowd is going absolutely mental” ….its was so quiet I heard a donkey fart in redneck country lol. Jeah page should step it up now and go to Bellator. Jeah that was not really a MMA fight…I mean..breaking a clinch after 2 seconds??
lol alright!
OK, lets get the important stuff out of the way…
REAL RING GIRLS!!! Dana, are you watching?!?! I’d watch the fight again just to see them!!!
Secondly, it will be interesting to see him match up against a determined wrestler who will not mind eating a few shots to get the takedown…
Thirdly, who ever fights Anderson Silva next needs to use this guy as a training partner.
It was K1 Cage rules hence why they were separated to all the dumb asses moaning about the clinch.
I cant wait to see someone close him down and take him to the deck. He obviously has mad striking skills but needs to be put in with someone top level who isnt intimidated. Trains at London Shoot so probably has a pretty solid ground game for mma.
Based on some of these comments it would seem that many of you think anyone with an ounce of talent should be thrown in with top level guys in their first few professional bouts. A clear sign that you guys know jack about mma and fighting in general. Go to some of your local events and tell me if any of the fresh pros are doing anything like this.
How can you win an MMA title by fighting a Jiu Jitsu guy who’s 0-1 in k-1 rules??I was mor eimpressed with the guy who lost. He’s a BJJ fighter and hung a bit in there.I’m not impressed at all with a pro kickboxer knocking out a BJJ fighter.
i am not impressed with his riddum.
The fight was weird but entertaining. However, the real title to the page should of had something to do with the ass cheeks hanging out the bottom of the the Ring card girls’ short Brittney Palmer style, and the the female interviewer’s shirt being open and see-through enough to see her heartbeat.
It’ll be interesting to see how Page does in a fight where takedowns are, you know, actually allowed. Like his style though, entertaining to watch.
After getting tagged 2 or 3 times with the overhand right, you’d think that George would have pinned his left hand up to his chin.
