Torres was only a big deal in the WEC because he was fearless. He ran people over. This is a new day and age. You aren’t going to compete if you don’t have a chin. It’s a prerequisite. If you can’t shrug a good shot off, you’re out of date. It’s a requirement now. Talent, philosophy, agility, and courage will soon take a back seat to natural abilities. It’s a sport now.

In every Torres fight I see him being outmatched by the other fighter’s speed and strength. I don’t know if it is a PED problem like others have hinted, but he is just not fast and strong enough for any of the lower divisions.
At 31, he needs to think if he can be competitive or if a career as a trainer or commentator might suit him better.

Maybe McDonald is21 ididot…Steroids would almost be a disadvantage for smaller weight classes because it would make them get biger and have to fight in a bigger weightclass without really giving them more power or speed.

It’s the change in camp, Florian was never the same after he went to Tristar either. The kid from the proactive infomercial is still young enough that the move didn’t affect him the same way but you can’t teach old dogs new tricks
