Bisping’s strength was impressive, along with his gnp…it’s still early but it looks like he’ll give most of the 185lbers a run for their money….i’d like to see him fight chris leban

Who is Jason Day anyway? I’m not impressed with Bisping. I’m not saying he is not a good fighter, but I can’t draw any good/bad conclusions since he never fought a real fighter. Even Rashad Evans, to whom him lost, sucks. Every time I expect to see if UFC can give him a good match, but they seem to be afraid of doing that.

How many times did Bisping hit him in the back of the head ? Where’s his warning or point deduction ? They won’t let Bisping lose, especially in UK, since they’re trying to gain popularity there. Bisping = UK’s Kimbo. I really want to see him fight Leben now, or Franklin, Cote, Quarry, Silva, Henderson, Horn, any of those better Middleweights would be good to see. Bisping hasn’t convinced me yet…

im a fan of bisping but i must admit he isnt really that special. i would like to see him fight tougher opponents but in my opinion he doesnt have the knockout power nor the brutality as someone like silva

I think he totally dominated his last two opponents at this weight, perhaps they’re not famous fighters but to totaly dominate someone means your steppin up. He will beat Chris Leben but Rich Franklin or Silva thats what I wanna see now. Real tests.

I love all you yank haters,first of all middleweight is Bispings natural weight,he was fighting above his weight where as everyone else was cutting and still only got beaten once,granted the hamill fight was a bit dodgy but it was the two american judges that went in favor of MB and the BRIT judge who gave it to hamill! and the then he got an unfair decision against evans. The funny thing is MB still doesnt have to cut weight to make 185lb so there’s a good chance he could cut to 170lb(which alves couldnt even manage!!) So i think all the haters should jus button it!!

Maybe Bisbing is stepping it up. But he is still way overrated. The only 2 “good” people he ever fought, he lost to. Evans and Hamil. I don’t care what the judges said that was a loss. Other than that UFC is feeding him like EliteXC feeds Kimbo. They want the British audience so the hype up this guy. And why the hell does everyone say fight Chris Leben? Leben is trash, there are much better fighters in the middleweight division for him to show us the he isn’t overrated.

Bisping did a great job I’m a huge fan he’s probly my favorite fighter in 185 but he does need some tuffer fights he will do well maybe not against Silva because he is hands down the most dangerus fighter in the world right now but anybody else bring it on

Well said. Chris Leben sucks. He is no longer a good fighter; he even lost for Kalib “the chicken run” Starnes. However IMO he can still defeat Bisping.

This is bisping’s second fight in 2 months in the 185 lb class and he has looked dominate in both fights. I can’t understand why people on this site would hate on him. Yes he lost to evans but 185 is his natural weight and he was up to fight evans. People will hate for all kinds of reasons and thats cool, I just can’t find a reason to hate on bisping.

I cant believe people are saying Bisping can beat someone like Franklin, based on what 2 fights at 185?. I’m still not sold on Bisping, I still think he’s a lot of hype. He’s really only beaten average fighters and unproven (reality show fighters) i.e. Hayes, Hamill, McCarthy etc. I wont be convinced until he fights and beats someone with a proven pedigree i.e. Franklin, Henderson, Silva, or even Okami, right now I have him in the mix with the likes of Leben, Kampmann, Marquardt etc. But still he’s looking good at 185.

Come on guys, redrum is right. The people at UFC don’t want Bisbing to lose. They are after that big market in England. Let’s face it. I like the guy, but I watched that Hamil fight, and he lost. The American judges gave it to him because they know what the UFC wants. The UFC can’t cover him much longer. The fans won’t allow it. It’s time to step up in class to Franklin, and then back down again to rework his game. No need to try Silva or henderson, they would hurt him.

I’m glad to see that a few people agree with me. Look guys, I never said that Bisping sucks. I said that he hasn’t convinced me that he’s anything more then average YET. He hasn’t really fought quality opponents in either weight class, except Hammill and Evans, both of which he lost. Only one went on his record though, we don’t need to beat that horse to death. I really believe that UFC is currently giving a push to some of their foreign or ethnic fighters (british, mexican, brazilian) to try to keep expanding their market share. I’m sure Bisping is a good fighter, but it’s getting to be about time for him to really prove it. I think they’re still throwing “cans” at him. So far it’s working, because he keeps winning (except the 2, after which he dropped weight class). That is my only problem with it, that they’re purposely trying to give him what would be considered easy wins to bad his record. The same thing that you all agree is wrong of EliteXC to do with Kimbo. I’m just calling it how I see it. Am I right, or am I right ?

To the people asking: Why Leben? It’s not that we think he’s all that or anything. It’s because he was the originally scheduled opponent for Bisping in UFC 85. If you didn’t know that, now you do. I would also question your knowledge/following of UFC though, for not already knowing that, as it was advertised for a while prior to the card change for this event.
