I also echo the sentiment that there was nothing impressive in this fight from Bisping that would lead me to believe he’s a potential champ. It’s almost guaranteed to be a workmanlike, close decision with no chance of a knockout. Elite guys finish people, at least some of the time. Beating down B and C level fighters who gas or have no standup does not count.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA some ass hate said they gave the fight to Stann O really? Bisping completely outclassed him and won every round the fight is not even debatable. If you want to assume the punch hurt Bisping bad in the first that is up to you but he was not knocked down or visibly hurt and still outstruck Stann 3 to 1 I honestly have a hard time even finding a round to give to Stann he was utterly outclassed.

@broski – I agree that he didn’t look on form in the Wanderlei fight – although he did land some good takedowns in that scrap. Bisping recently looked strong against Sonnen and actually got him down at the end of that fight. And I don’t understand why everyone calls this bout with Stann a snooze fest. It was a good fight and Bisping clearly won. Bisping actually has decent wrestling now after years of working on it and he also has crazy cardio. He does probably deserve a title shot. He would get beaten by Silva quite badly but he might actually go the distance. Aside from the Hendo fight, he’s shown a lot of durability in his career. FYI – I’m not a Bisping fan cause I think he’s generally a douche but I respect his work ethic

If you think Bisping is ready for Anderson, you’re smoking crack. Bisping has enough skill to GET HIM BY a fight. no KO power, no ground game. He can take you down and do nothing. He took stann down, got points for it and did nothing. He jabbed also and avoided punches. That won him the fight. Are you kidding me? How can you morons think Bisping could ever be champ? Honestly, Weidman would run through Bisping. After he’s done with Tim, they should let Chris r*** Bisping. Bisping would look worse than Forrest did against Anderson. FACT.

I watch Bisping to fight not for his personality or lack there of one, so throw that s*** out the window. Stann is good, Bisping was great, I think you guys do not understand how much you get shaken after a jab lmao, Stann is mad at himself he didnt steal the end of the fight though he did show up for it. The Hammil fight was great btw!

@PastelXCore what do you mean the only people to beat him are Hendo and Hamill?

First of all, he beat Hamill. I scored it for Hamill, but that wasnt as bad of a decision as people remember it being. Bisping won the 3rd easily and the 2nd was pretty close. I thought his LOSS to Rashad was much more clear cut.

And lets not forget Wanderlei whooped that ass not too long ago. Saved by the bell twice in one fight. It wasn’t close at all and Bisping was basically knocked out to end the fight.

If you can’t handle an older Wand, then you definitely don’t want it with Anderson.
