Amazing fight…I feel bad for Vera, he gave it all and he went out in a stretcher basically….but much respect… I wish everyone fought like this in the UFC

^^^ both of those anti-rogan comments are stupid as hell because he’s a black belt in bjj speaking on what someone who is not a black belt should have done, just like what these guys hear in the gym to get to where joe rogan is everyday. second of all he DOES know the difference between sparring and fighting because he’s been in martial arts since a small child and won gold medals in numerous tae kwon do and even did some competing in kickboxing, does that not mean he knows exactly what a person is feeling like when getting hit? smh im sad that this is the type of people that surround me everyday.

those two guys took a huge amount of punishments. and Dana says shogun came to just win? are you f kidding me?
he was sort of gassed but the takes huge amount of punishments and he still comes forward to fight and win.
Respect to Vera he tried his best! didn’t hold back at all.

Shogun got the W but he is not the force he used to be.

Shogun was throwing heat and serious power in the 4th round! That is cardio, bouncing around and jogging is not cardio, so what if he was breathing heavy.

what more do you want from shogun? he peaked in ’05 or so. he is old beyond his years, as is often the case when guys reach the top of the heap in their early 20′s. give the man some trt to bring him back.
vera hasn’t looked this tough in years. i dont need to see him get a title shot, but he silenced his critics.

shogun was injured. Big time shoulder issue, which would explain him taking Vera down..

Shogun gets injured so much he doesn’t have tim to train his cardio.Almost each fights he gets surgery.

Shogun’s cardio is lacking a bit probably due to his previous knee injuries, guessing he doesn’t run. Pool and biking could fix that. He is still a badass in my book always a pleasure to watch.

If hes always injured then that explains it. He needs to get healthier to have a chance with jones. The only reason he did so well this time is because Brandon tired out quite quickly too. Jon Jones wont tire out.

Hes gotta do something about his stamina and these injuries. Find a new doctor or train differently. Something. If the shogun that fought machida both times were to fight Jones, he might actually win. I think Jon Jones has a weakness against leg kicks.

I don’t see how Dana came up with the stupid idea that based on their performance the winner gets Bones. Its like comparing apples to oranges. If you asked me, I think Machida wouldn’t have did so good vs Vera. As matter of fact I think Vera could’ve won. Vera and Bader are two different beasts. Vera’s strength is standup and Bader’s is wrestling. The next fight rather we like it or not should be Shogun vs Machida 3. That way we leave no doubt on who is ready for Bones or Hendo!!!
