vera showed some serious heart

Twana Says, in 8-7-2012 at 11:09:01 from

ass hole joe rogan thinks he is better than the fighters when commentating. “He should have done, he should have done that”… Same as his F*** head dana white…

someone should kick these whores.

SEAN_VANCE Says, in 8-7-2012 at 11:21:51 from

Amazing fight…I feel bad for Vera, he gave it all and he went out in a stretcher basically….but much respect… I wish everyone fought like this in the UFC

coutura Says, in 8-7-2012 at 11:24:18 from

joe rogan thinks practice and sparting is the same as fighting when a fighters gets hit as hard as brandom took those shots its not easy to think joe rogan and golberg are trash

glassjoe Says, in 8-7-2012 at 11:35:36 from

Great Fight!!! Vera was much better than I expected.

RUGBURN Says, in 8-7-2012 at 11:41:34 from

GREAT FIGHT!! You guys are correct about Rogan and White. What really pissed me off was that Dana told Shogun indirectly that his performance wasn’t impressive. If you ask me that was fight to the death!! Hats off to both fighters and its ashame that Vera is going to get the short end of the stick. Shogun is ready for Jones and if he gets his opportunity he will take back the crown!!!

master blaster Says, in 8-7-2012 at 12:08:47 from

first well done to vera even tho he lost won my respect..shogun has not been the same since he beat machida then got injured tires to easily no chance against jones or machida at this moment…

Rio_Warrior Says, in 8-7-2012 at 13:10:39 from

Wheres your cardio Rua?

JJ will kick your ass again if you show like this in an eventual rematch.

Kimura Says, in 8-7-2012 at 13:11:32 from

^^^ both of those anti-rogan comments are stupid as hell because he’s a black belt in bjj speaking on what someone who is not a black belt should have done, just like what these guys hear in the gym to get to where joe rogan is everyday. second of all he DOES know the difference between sparring and fighting because he’s been in martial arts since a small child and won gold medals in numerous tae kwon do and even did some competing in kickboxing, does that not mean he knows exactly what a person is feeling like when getting hit? smh im sad that this is the type of people that surround me everyday.

ultimate fighter Says, in 8-7-2012 at 14:28:47 from

i thought vera was going to make a serious run at the title, and obviously get his nose doubled smooshed by jones. but an excellent fight anyway, it look like he gave up several times, only to comeback firing bombs. too bad this has cemented him as a jardine type gatekeeper.

dave Says, in 8-7-2012 at 14:52:55 from

those two guys took a huge amount of punishments. and Dana says shogun came to just win? are you f kidding me?
he was sort of gassed but the takes huge amount of punishments and he still comes forward to fight and win.
Respect to Vera he tried his best! didn’t hold back at all.
Much respect to both fighters. they deserve huge bonuses.

kaution35 Says, in 8-7-2012 at 15:32:06 from

Wonder if Vera would fair better at 185? He fought at heavyweight but honestly…the guy doesnt look like he’s a big 205. Plus he tends to get man handled by bigger 205ers.

Joe Dog Says, in 8-7-2012 at 16:02:18 from

Thanks for posting these fights. I looked everywhere but could only find fight highlights with Chael Sonnen commentating (for Fox). Much appreciated! Thank you.

Danby Says, in 8-7-2012 at 16:30:02 from

Whats with shoguns cardio anyways. I think hes worse then bj penn. He NEVER seems to get in better shape match after match. Does he just not like cardio or something?

anderson cheats Says, in 8-7-2012 at 16:50:34 from

Shogun got the W but he is not the force he used to be.

skifri3 Says, in 8-7-2012 at 17:46:48 from

Judging from this appearance… it looks like Shogun wouldn’t fare any better than he did the first time against JJ… maybe even worse than last time.

Welcome back Bruno!

Krispy Kreme Says, in 8-7-2012 at 18:58:09 from

Shogun was throwing heat and serious power in the 4th round! That is cardio, bouncing around and jogging is not cardio, so what if he was breathing heavy.

coleSTain Says, in 8-7-2012 at 19:02:32 from

Bruno you are the f***** man, thanks so much for posting. Just thought you would not because they were a free card. Cheers hope you had good travels!

wookie Says, in 8-7-2012 at 19:22:11 from

what more do you want from shogun? he peaked in ’05 or so. he is old beyond his years, as is often the case when guys reach the top of the heap in their early 20′s. give the man some trt to bring him back.
vera hasn’t looked this tough in years. i dont need to see him get a title shot, but he silenced his critics.

Vin Says, in 8-7-2012 at 20:14:47 from

This fight really showed how tough these athletes are.Could you imagine A Rod digging this deep? Must be rough for Vera giving so much to come up short.

gamblore Says, in 8-7-2012 at 20:28:45 from

shogun was injured. Big time shoulder issue, which would explain him taking Vera down..

jhu Says, in 8-7-2012 at 21:33:00 from

LOL reason Dana said shogun performance is bad is probably because he was counting vera out he was expect shogun to KO vera first round? so the fight didn’t go the way he want to go and he say he didnt put in his heart.

Kidjonny1 Says, in 8-7-2012 at 22:16:13 from

Thx for posting the fight Bruno. Hope you are having fun in Europe. :D

champoinship retirement fight, Dana white vs Bob Sap..winner gets Kimbos mom for a weekend.

TheKungFuLowKick Says, in 8-7-2012 at 23:19:40 from

Shogun gets injured so much he doesn’t have tim to train his cardio.Almost each fights he gets surgery.

iWay Says, in 8-7-2012 at 23:47:51 from

vera nor jones would have much of a chance against jones. looks like machida vs jones is the most interesting match up. i dont think hendo will take jones.

casemax Says, in 8-8-2012 at 00:00:06 from

Shogun’s cardio is lacking a bit probably due to his previous knee injuries, guessing he doesn’t run. Pool and biking could fix that. He is still a badass in my book always a pleasure to watch.

RRM Says, in 8-8-2012 at 00:10:29 from

WHat a scrap!

Danby Says, in 8-8-2012 at 14:37:19 from

If hes always injured then that explains it. He needs to get healthier to have a chance with jones. The only reason he did so well this time is because Brandon tired out quite quickly too. Jon Jones wont tire out.

Hes gotta do something about his stamina and these injuries. Find a new doctor or train differently. Something. If the shogun that fought machida both times were to fight Jones, he might actually win. I think Jon Jones has a weakness against leg kicks.

cool Says, in 8-8-2012 at 20:41:19 from

Vera is just not competitive anymore. He was beat by a notable name…but not a fighter near his best and still lost. He claimed he gave his all. Well time to pack it up then. When your best is being beat by someone on their bad day, you need to find another career. For the record you didn’t push the pase. Rua pushed you

steamer Says, in 8-8-2012 at 21:36:23 from

very entertaining fight. both guys did a good job. happy I got to see this one

PitfighterZ Says, in 8-8-2012 at 23:35:17 from

This fight was fun for the very opposite reasons that the Machida v. Bader was fun! Machida was pure precision and got a clean KO after making Bader look like he never fought in his life. Shogun and Vera went at it a bit sloppy and tired, but with pure heart and determination. Crazy stuff! Gotta love MMA!

Rugburn Says, in 8-9-2012 at 23:29:29 from

I don’t see how Dana came up with the stupid idea that based on their performance the winner gets Bones. Its like comparing apples to oranges. If you asked me, I think Machida wouldn’t have did so good vs Vera. As matter of fact I think Vera could’ve won. Vera and Bader are two different beasts. Vera’s strength is standup and Bader’s is wrestling. The next fight rather we like it or not should be Shogun vs Machida 3. That way we leave no doubt on who is ready for Bones or Hendo!!!
