The main card is set for December’s UFC on FOX 5 event, which features a championship headliner between lightweight titleholder Benson Henderson (17-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and challenger Nate Diaz (16-7 MMA, 11-5 UFC).

Also slated for the main card, which follows prelims on FUEL TV, are light heavyweights Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (21-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (14-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC), welterweights B.J. Penn (16-8-2 MMA, 12-7-2 UFC) vs. Rory MacDonald (13-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC), and welterweights Mike Swick (15-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) vs. Matt Brown (15-11 MMA, 8-5 UFC).

The event takes place Dec. 8 at Seattle’s KeyArena, and tickets go on sale Oct. 5. UFC on FOX 5 is the final FOX-televised event of 2012, and the main card features four fights in all.

Henderson will out wrestle diaz and nick will whine about it. We all know its the UFC and not the ultimate wrestling championship. Gustafson will dance around and pick shogun apart from the outside. And rory might actually commit a murder death kill on December 8. Sorry bj. Glad to see Swick back!!!

Gustafsson should win. Diaz will lose although I hope it will be a fun fight. Bj will also lose to the next GSP.

I think Shogun could very well win but only if he used a good mixture of standup and ground. His ground game is much better than Gustafssons and if he decides to do to him what he did against Hendo in the later rounds (taking him down and look to mount him), he would win easily, I just hope he doesn’t want to trade too much because Gustafsson’s reach might be too much.

Shogun against rookie gustaffson? No way id go against shogun, no way. The warrior spirit in shogun is too for him, but we’ll see , he is very talented. Secondly, im not sure if i am more excited for that fight or watching diaz get Knocked out, i think BHen is too big too strong and that could happen, likely anyways. Thirdly, who the f’ cares who wins, i wanna see great fights.
