Riddle (8-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) flunked a test following UFC on FUEL TV 7, where he earned a split call against Che Mills (15-6 MMA, 2-2 UFC).
The UFC welterweight fighter on Tuesday told MMAjunkie.com that he failed his second post-fight drug test for marijuana and has been released from the UFC.
What a dick man, I love the weed but your a professional athlete sort your priorities out.
TBH his fight against Mills was a snooze fest.

I still don’t get this – is weed a performance enhancer? Why is it being tested for if it’s legal in some states and considered medicine in the other half. Also these a-holes bust these people for metabolites which will stay in your system for weeks even when you haven’t smoked.

Lol I smoke weed and dont feel sorry for the guy. He could easily cycle his system out in 7-10 days using the right combo of s***. Hell even 3 days if he is ballsy enough. But I cant feel bad for a guy who can not stop smoking for 10 days. That is a man with no willpower.

Why smoke and know you STILL going to have it in your system in small amounts and take a fight? All those guys on the UFC roster and he’s been gettn a call to fight ALOT more than many of them. Hell, how long was he off suspension before he was called to fight?
I don’t agree with the marijuana ban but fact remains its “BAN” if he wanted to do something he should have called the Diaz and some other homies that support the use, pulled a lawyer and went to discuss the medical use/need with the athlete commission for a proper way to have it’s use cleared.

Well, Riddle said he stopped using three weeks prior to the fight. Also, I have heard Rogan say that weed (or certain types of weed) are a performance enhancer. So I’m a little confused on the situation.

the legality of marijuana has nothing to do with anything.
you or I could go and pump ourselves full of HGH legally, but the athletic commissions ban it, so fighters cannot. it’s the same with weed.

I know rules are rules.. But some rules are really stupid and primitive that the only way to change them is for people to keep breaking them. Weed should not be tested should not be illegal.

Bruno: I don’t understand your point. I was just saying that they also check for alcohol during those tests and it is a banned substance just like weed. I had to get a hair sample test when I once had a Government job. They could tell if you were a heavy drinker in the past from that test even if you had not had a drink in 3 months.

he should get a doctors prescription for marinol .. unlike weed it is not on the illegal list.. and it tests the same . it will hide the fact you smoke it, just dont admit it while explaining why you tested positive. show marinol prescription…
a guy smokes a joint one week before fight , not stoned the slightest on day of fight but he still tests positive,another guy drinks a twelve pack of brew after the weigh-ins and next day he pisses clean.. the moral of the story is no one is actually stoned day of fight … riddle burned the day before

I believe the point we are trying to make is that if you smoke week a month prior it can show up and you are gone. You pretty much have to had drank the night before for alcohol to show up. It’s not the same in testing.
I agree that the rules are the rules, and if he fought under the influence then I would can him too, but I think he, like Diaz were not under any influence at fight time, nor did they test with enough in their system to have smoked within days of the fight. Nick state it was over a week.
But… they are Pro’s and those are the rules.
Bruno: I’m not fond of the weed rules either. I think there should be some sort of limit range with marijuana if you have a doctor’s card just like TRT.
