Wiman’s got a tough chin and a big heart. Like it or not Dan did his best work recently for letting them “fight.” However, Wiman did what they all can and SHOULD do…take the fight OUT OF THE REFEREE’S HANDS! A knockout or submission is the best cure to a bad call PERIOD!!!

Matt Wiman has always shown promise, even during his knockout loss to Spencer Fisher at UFC 60. Purposeful ground game and fierce standup…watch for him to rise in the ranks.

God damn some comments are stupid. Great win from Matt but he is WAY away from a title shot.

There’d be 20 LW’s ahead of him.

For a start:

Heurta, Guida, Florian, Stephenson, Danzig, Griffin, Franca, Diaz, Edgar, Clementi, Stout, Lauzon, Aurelio, Maynard, etc etc

He’s on the right track, but give him time!

I was not impressed at all, only by his cardio and the maybe that lucky punch he landed. He obviously didnt think he was going to win since he started crying like a little bitch. Ontop of that, even with that win thiago would get a title shot before him even though both of them are far from that. Brazilians dont dominate everything but i can say brazilian jiu jitsu is obviously the most effective and most incorporated art used in the ufc. I say that to say this, Wiman has a tough chin and yes Thiago is cocky and obviously way more skilled then Matt, but Wiman won the fight that night which would happen probably 1 out of 20 times….
p.s. i guess people forgot how cocky matt was on the show untill manny shut his ass up.

GREAT Effing Fight!!! Wiman definitely earned that victory and earned my respect. I didnt like him before but Im rootin for him now! I didnt give him a punchers chance when the card was announced but boy was I wrong. Thiago is a little beast and thought he would go climb up the ladder easily…guess he’s been brought down a notch or two thanks to Wiman. I love a great all around fight where it goes both to the ground and toe to toe. Gotta Love it!!!
