This is the MMA fight video of Georges St. Pierre and Matt Hughes 2 at UFC 65 Bad Intentions.
A lot of people expected St. Pierre to continue holding the championship for years after this win over Hughes. It was almost unbelievable that he would lose his very next fight to Matt Serra.

That was a beautiful superman punch… owned… I really don’t know how Serra beat GSP, it’s must have been one of those “once in a life time” things. But I really would like to see Hughes VS Serra… I’d give it to Hughes, Serra is all talk, and since he won the belt he hasn’t shut up. Too bad it’s Hughes VS GSP, I think Serra just wanted to be a champion for a little longer.

no. serra is out with a very serious injury. hes not just trying to hold on to that belt. serra may not be unbeatable but hes the kind of guy that will defend his belt. its unfortunate coz i really wanted to see the fight between hughes and serra.
serra has talked so much he actually had me believeing he could whip hughes ass. without the fight hype (that i get so easily drawn in to :p) i actually believe that hughes would have beaten serra, not with any great ease but he would have walked away with teh belt. unless serra caught him good or could get top position. well thats pretty obvious but still :p

I think GSP will definitely take this next fight. Although we would all love to see Hughes and Serra, I think GSP is much more hungrier for a shot at the welterweight title than Hughes-which is why GSP will whoop his ass again. He usually takes 3 months to train for his fights. But to step in and take less than a month to train is straight up legite; not to mention badass…

My fellow Canadian GSP will take down farmboy Hughes with little to no effort. Hopefully the UFC will match up GSP with the winner of Serra vs Ben Saunders.

I hope GSP wins again. That performance was very impressive. I know Hughes was unable to take him down. But watch out in the next fight I think he will train for the take down. He was believing too much in his stand up before, he knows now he is not at GSP’s level on the feet. We’ll see… I think it’ll be a closer fight this time. Good luck GSP. Hughes is an arrogant p***k!!

I wonder how much S*** talking there will still be IF Serra beats GSP again. There wont be much to say IF that happens. Imagine him beating Hughes afterwards too, there would still be S*** talking. I think GSP is a way better fighter, but I would never take away from Serra’s win. Anyone at that weight that has the balls to face GSP gets respect from me.
