It amazes me how many people denigrate Hughes’ performance in this fight. All I ever hear about is that B.J. gassed and that he was destroying Hughes. Hughes showed more heart in this fight than B.J. ever has in his career. He shouldn’t be penalized for being a professional athlete and showing up for the biggest fight of his career in shape.

Rofl! Rob sheider coke sniff. Liddell was, of course, totally fuckin drunk. And that thumb in the eye, hillarious. You could tell he was trying to angle away from the hook and counter-jab, but he must’ve misjudged the distance and didnt fully close his fist. Shit happens. In the end, I guess it goes to show, Hughes gets on a treadmill, maybe runs up and down stairs… and B.J stretches a lot. If this fucker isn’t runnin 10 miles a day and doing 20 minute sparring sessions without rest to prepare for GSP, he might as well lay down and die before the bell rings. You cant beat GSP if you’re not prepared to go the distance. I guess.. i just don’t know why Penn didn’t try to throw his legs up and slide right out under Hughes… I mean, his arms we’re locked… he just laid their, where’s the will to survive?
