For the people saying that Hughes shouldn’t come back: I hear what you’re saying and it makes some sense, but Randy stayed in way past what could be considered his prime and did pretty well for himself. The fact that hughes lost his last fight isn’t much of an indication. He was doing weel against Koscheck until he was caught, and before that he beat Gracie. I bet he still have a few fights left in him.

pls don’t come back Matt, I don’t want to see same old story of “old legend get beat up younger opponent. Age counts!

I’ve really come to like Matt Hughes over the years and enjoy listening to him. I agree with his Diaz prediction for the same reasons. I think they should give him one more fight against a B-level fighter where he has a chance to go out on a winning note.

I hear Royce would like a rematch. That would be a good last fight.

Matt shouldn’t come back for a couple of reasons.I think that if he came back,he won’t be fighting for the title and it won’t do anything for his legendary career.And also Hughes has been taking some punishment the last couple of years.He got almost KOed by BJ the 1st time they fought but ended getting choked.GSP knocked him out.Thiago Alves KOed him.Matt Serra dropped him and Hughes said himself he doesnt remember the 1st round.And his last 2 fights he got KOed badly.He’s coming close to being KOed 7 times and that’s without counting his training injuries and concussions.I don’t want to see Matt end up like a vegetable for a couple of fights that won’t change anything in his legacy.But if he wants to fight it’s his choice and we have nothing to say.

Superman would destroy Hughes again. He is still active.
If Matt returns, the only safe fight for him is Royce Gracie. Royce can’t KO him or cause a concussion and he has no wrestling, so Matt would still have a huge advantage. However, the truth is, I am not sure if I want to watch it. They are both amazing legends of the sport, but now the key word is “legend.”
Just don’t put him against any good striker or he will be slurring his words pretty soon.
