This is what us classic boxing lovers remember and miss. I started watching and competing in MMA, because boxing failed me. I am glad I discovered this great sport, but it is still good to see some of the old days. Thank you for posting this video.

Never ever ever ever turn away from your opponent.

An exciting boxing match is a rarity these days. That was a good one.

Without a doubt the greatest short fight in history, Marvellous Marvin Hagler is my all time favourite fighter. Thanks for posting it.

The best fight I ever saw was Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini vs Duk Koo Kim. It was an unbelievable toe to toe brawl, it rarely moved from the center of the ring and both fighters gave everything. If I remember correctly it went till the 14th round, and ended in a brutal knockout.

I’m sure this video is unavailable as unfortunately Mr. Kim never regained consciousness and died that evening. Greatest fight I ever saw, with the most tragic ending you hope you never see.

There are a lot of other great boxing fights out there as well, let me list a few. Corrales vs Castillo, Morales vs Barrera, Vasquez vs Marquez, Ward vs Gatti, Pacquiao vs Morales, Pacquiao vs Barrera, Forman vs Ali, Pavlik vs Taylor… man I can go on and on. Sure there are boring ones as well but come on there are boring aspects in all sports. I can for sure say that there are boring aspects in MMA. We’ve all seen the fights were fighter just lay on top of each other rabbit punching each other for 15 minutes. Or when fighters hug each other for several minutes against the cage.

This guy was my hero when I was a kid. Also “Carlos Monzon”.
But what a good memories…
Thanks. I wish boxing would still be like this.

I was too young when this fight happened to be a fan at the time… but during my studying of boxing I came across this fight and believe me… I loved this fight more then most mma matches ive seen. If you want to see probably the 2 best boxers of the era watch this fight. I have to say that Marvin Haggler has probably one of the nicest boxing styles ive ever seen. A southpaw whos jab was stronger then most guys power straights.

Tyson was 19 when he primed. MMA will chew this man up and spit his tattered, mangled corpse out.~

When Boxing was Boxing. Fun to watch!!! That’s the type of fight we look for in the MMA world every time.

Wrestling is only fun when they are moving. It gets boring when wrestling is resting. We need more breaks is speed up the action. Learn to break when the fighters are resting.

draztik, where in my comments to you jump to such a stupid conclusion?

How can you say I’m a fan of violence but not of the sport itself?

If you read carefully I stated that the end of that fight was one that no one hopes to ever see.

Work on your comprehension before slinging shit!

Hagler was on a mission. Give credit to Hearns for fighting him. Ray Leonard waited for Hagler to get much older & got a gift decision. This was boxing at its best.

Fuzz, you’re wrong. Hagler beats Hearns every time . Too strong, too smart, great jaw. Hagler broke fighters down mentally & physically.

kob, you’re so naive and narrow minded when it comes to boxing. fuzz, like many others is suggesting that Hearns without a broken hand, would have been able to outbox Hagler like he did Leonard. Remember? Why do u think Hagler came at Hearns like that? Cause he knew that Hearns would simply pick him apart and cut him up… Think b4 you judge.. Thanks, I’m sure this makes sense to you…
