Log in to Reply woadito July 17, 2012 great game plan on weidman’s part, i bet munoz never expected to get taken down at will. first it was mayhem, then ellenberger and now munoz… must be tough fo their camp. Log in to Reply scoobysnack July 17, 2012 I have no doubt that Munoz will learn from this and come back even stronger for his next fight..sometimes a devastating loss like this is all a fighter needs to re-energize…even Anderson Silva benefited from his first with Chael…in fact, i would argue that had Chael not brought it to him like he did, Anderson would have eventually lost to Weidman or another up and comer…now i think he’ll end his career undefeated, despite the fact that he’s nearly 40..do you like how i turned this from Munoz to Anderson? But seriously, respect to Munoz, now he’ll drink Kale shakes when he goes back to the Phillipines instead of milkshakes Log in to Reply failsonnen July 17, 2012 Munoz barely fought in that match he was pretty much either standing there or getting taken down or smothered against the cage. That Weidman elbow came out of nowhere though. Excellent timing. Log in to Reply Grape Soda July 17, 2012 He did look sluggish against Weidman but I still like Munoz. Everyone I know who has trained with him says he’s a really helpful guy. Log in to Reply oaklandblackouts July 17, 2012 agreed – wasn’t that munoz was that bad but moreso that weidman was that good Log in to Reply Poodles suck July 17, 2012 hope this sets up Munoz vs. Chael, if Chael stays at 185… Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick July 17, 2012 @scoobysnack The problem is Anderson Silva is not undefeated. Log in to Reply Rio_Warrior July 17, 2012 Undefeated in the UFC. Log in to Reply bunbury26 July 17, 2012 Doogie Howser MD? Log in to Reply ironfist July 17, 2012 Munoz couldn’t shake the ring rust and wiedman kept him guessing mixing up the strikes and grappling and exploited munoz’s worst flaw his looping haymaker punches. Munoz is a quality fighter but I don’t think he’ll ever wear the belt.
