Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick September 25, 2011 But Rothwell hass the heart of a zombie!!.Props to him for not getting dropped he has a great chin. Log in to Reply Grape Soda September 25, 2011 Good to see Hunt get a win. From now on ALL Heavyweight fights should be at sea level! Log in to Reply ken shiro September 25, 2011 fight of the night Log in to Reply benjamin September 25, 2011 I can’t believe I almost saw Mark finish by taking that arm. Still is and always will be one of my favorites. Log in to Reply mmajunkyrat September 25, 2011 hes gona take his left arm. Grab it its right there. Joe Rogan. fricken hillarious Log in to Reply Darren September 25, 2011 Good fight. Log in to Reply Doyle Brunson September 25, 2011 Good win almost got the finish Log in to Reply GetSome September 25, 2011 Anyone know why these guys got the 3rd highest fight? Hunt is a complete scrub with a pathetic MMA record. 6-7 (before the win) that close to the co-main event LOL. This was a terrible fight. That said, this card was worth paying for and the rest of the fights were awesome. Log in to Reply tsagoii September 25, 2011 I thought Mark Hunt was retired. Was quite surprised to see him there. He seemed to have lost weight and picked up some ground game. Mark Hunt going for a submission, wow. The good old days. props to Rothwell, they gassed out, but trust me, Mark Hunt punches are no joke. he took some heavy ones. Log in to Reply tsagoii September 25, 2011 @Getsome… 3rd highest figt probably because of Hunt professional career path. He was mostly known for his K1 years. Always overweighted, but could take some mean heavy hits and deliver some killer kicks and a powerful upper right hand punch. In his K1 years, he fought mean tough heavy weight fighters. Schilt, Le Banner, Filipovic, Filho, Hoost to name a few K1 champions. So I would like to think it’s the interest on observing the transition of a K1 fighter trying MMA. regardless the age. Same for Walker, Lesnar. Seeing some athlete with other background training trying MMA rules of combat. that is my 2 cents on it. Let’s say we would still call him Mister Log in to Reply willienugget September 25, 2011 Good fight? That was an embarassment for combat sports. Log in to Reply sticky September 25, 2011 Rothwell should be let go for coming in in such deplorable condition. Log in to Reply sooooopernate September 25, 2011 @getsome wow, I actually agree with you for once. that fight was atrocious, reminiscent of Toughman fights. That should’ve been a prelim. Log in to Reply Derkderder September 25, 2011 anything deciding to hate on this fight needs to read my comment before posting: they are at HIGH ALTITUDE! these fighters are big and slow, and didnt get used to the ALTITUDE Log in to Reply PitfighterZ September 25, 2011 Putting two very heavy HWs to fight in that altitude is definitely a bad idea, especially if you count that Rothwell has been on the shelves for a while. To be honest, I just loved to see a very old Mark Hunt learning new tricks. It’s just fun and the guy doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone anymore. I do agree that it should have been planned to sea level, though. These two are actually excellent fighters in their own right, but you can’t really perform well if you have to carry over 260 pounds at that altitude. Seriously, go try that. Log in to Reply Ibunn September 25, 2011 How can anyone complain? This was one of the better fights. Mark hunts a bodmon & Rothwell has an epic chin Log in to Reply kuelniss September 26, 2011 Don’t be too quick to blame this on the altitude thing even though I know it makes a difference. The reason being that I’m pretty sure Rothwell has shown crap cardio in a previous fight as well, I think it was the Ivel fight or something. Hunt’s cardio was not nearly as bad but as bad as I would have expected so he’s in the clear in my view. Rothwell, however, has proven to me that he has horrible conditioning. Oh and he’s kind of a fat **** too. Log in to Reply Reallynow? September 26, 2011 GetSome sounds like a couched athlete. You honestly don’t know what the **** you’re typing about. Sad thing is, you probably bitch more than you do just enjoying a fight. FOTN should go to heart more than hype. Hunt deserved it. **** what you say. Log in to Reply Reallynow? September 26, 2011 Everyone who thinks this was a bad fight for mma may as well go watch street fights all day on youtube. Get over not getting a KO, faggots. lmao. Go watch another sport, cry babies. :)) Be a huge suprise if any of them ever fought. Shit doesnt always go down perfect, retards. Stick to xbox. Log in to Reply benjamin September 27, 2011 Any man who is willing to put his hands down and scream in Rey Sefo’s face during a kickboxing match is most certainly not a scrub. Wins over TK, CroCop in his prime and lest we forget he came close in the fight he had with Fedor.. Log in to Reply Moostachio September 27, 2011 I read someone’s post that Rothwell should be let go for being in such horrible condition. That’s one of the most uneducated posts I’ve read on here in awhile. For as many clean bombs he took from Hunt as he did and last the whole fight is one of the most amazing heavyweight feats I’d ever seen. Hunt’s one of the greatest EVER not just heavyweight but Super heavyweight strikers of all time in K-1. If you can take multiple shots like he did and keep moving is just amazing. Major respect for Rothwell. 2nd best fight of the night. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
