I have to say that I really envisaged a win for Hunt by TKO once Overeem started to gas as usual. Did’t see that coming.

Why do people under estimate Overeem? He’s at his natural weight and he’s always had a very solid ground game.

I’m guessing people haven’t seen his last few fights, specially the clinic he put on Paul Buentello for the Strikeforce belt?

Hunt on the otherhand is rusty, overweight and should probably stay in K-1…

This was kind of a lucky win if I have ever seen one.

Both fighters are very skilled but Hunt is a monster.

It seems the lay off was too long for Hunt and he was not in game shape and got put in a lucky arm bar. I hope to c a rematch I bet hunt will win.

Overeem had to use his ground game because knocking out Mark hunt is not an option lol.

Alistair has wins over Sergei Kharitonov, Buentello, Vitor and others so don’t act like the guy is a complete rookie…the guys who have beaten him are Lidell, Noguera and other top fighters..even had this fight stayed on the feet, it wasn’t a guaranteed loss for Alistair, he’s a legitimate tough fighter…

how disappointing to watch.. Mark Hunt seriously needs to work on his ground game, I’m a rookie at MMA but I’ve escaped that move numerous times and I’m in even worse shape than Hunt.

there was no way hunt was getting out of that. It wasn’t an arm bar at all, he was in position for one, but he had him in a key lock and he was fucked. Hunt didn’t give up, there was just no chance he was getting out of that one.

Overeem up and coming!! you must be joking…like the other guy said,he has taken alot of beatdowns…tap-outs and knock-outs..hes a flash in the pan who wont last 5 minutes as some kinda seasoned vet fighter..i dont rate him at all personally

that was a good fight. so obvious hunt is ridiculously strong but doen’t have ground game and for overeem, he’s always been a pretty good fighter and seems to be improving.

Bas Rutten sounds more and more drunk throughout the broadcast. Listen to him in the last fight, Hanson Vs. Aoki. He’s wasted!

Overeem looked like a high level BJJ player in that fight. His transitions were very fluid, like when he wiggled his way out of being under Hunt in side control. He transitioned it directly into a deep armbar!

That’s exactly how K-1 fighters like Mark Hunt get treated in MMA these days.
