The biding war for the world’s best MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko has heated up this week. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban looks to have thrown himself into the mix.
Cuban’s growing High Definition TV network is looking to boost its most highly rated program. Friday Fight Night plays a variety of MMA action. Mostly small fight shows from different promoters each week. It looks like Cuban may be looking for a big name to start his own promoting game.
If he lands the biggest dog in the park it will be easy to entice other promoters to bring in their big dogs for a fight. Seams like an easy way to fill a complete fight card and get loads of viewers at the same time. Cuban knows it takes a lot of money to make a lot of money and his pockets are deep enough to outbid most of Fedor’s suiters.
This new interest in Fedor may help persuade the UFC to soften its stance and finally get around to signing MMA’s true heavyweight champ.
