I think if he is able to get Fedor signed up, that will be good thing for the sport of MMA long term. The more organizations competing for the best talent will help to also compensate the athletes better.
You can see that after Pride was bought out, nothing has happened with that organization. It looks like most but not all of those athletes that competed on that organization are idling just waiting for their contracts to run out or for UFC to give them a chance.
More competition is best for the sport. I think IFL, Showtime Elite XC, Chuck Norris Combat League, King of the Cage, and other venues is helping build a larger base of mma fans.

I totally agree with Hessnoid. A monopoly on MMA would just hurt the sport.

Its also being saturated with non talent.Going mainstream now.Ill be surprised if it lasts as long as the poker craze-Also the judging needs alot of shoreing up!Will see?Cuban has no end to those deep pockets, Fedor is his!In the end only one will survive!

This is bad news. We’ll get the same situation in which the best fighters are divided between organizations and they never meet in competition. Who is Fedor going to fight? Will Mark Coleman be his first opponent in Cuban’s new organization? Who wants to see Fedor defeat Coleman the exact way he did twice before?

I understand the salary advantages that fighters might get with two or more major MMA organizations competing with each other; nonetheless, the top fighters can get paid rather well in the UFC. Anyway, the fans will lose out if Cuban acquires Fedor. Period.

Listen up boneheads: You need ONE organization. Do you want to dilute the talent base? What if there were 10 NFL organizations. Alot of football players that would NOT make it if their were only ONE PREMIER LEAGUE…You need ONE MMA organization signing the BEST. You want Rampage with one league, shogun with another, and Liddell in yet another MMA organization? It could happen with Cuban in the Mix. It would be AWFUL. No great fighting matchups..think about that…Hope cuban falls on his a$$….We need that to happen for us..the fans…
