Which is the world’s strogest man… i cant tell.
not a whole lot of technique is needed when u use over whelming force,

brock vs this guy would be fun to watch, if brock lays on him he can bench press him off.

Pure brutal strength, but no technique. I hope he will learn some fighting skills. That would make him a menace. Right now, he can muscle his way through lesser fighters, but if he exposes his chin to a good striker, he will be counting stars in no time.
Good win, though.

YES Says, in 12-11-2009 at 19:54:26 from

Mariusz is a beast, he will probably be off to the ufc or strikeforce after this, because they are trying to compete against eachother for talent now.

Mariusz still needs to work on his technique; in the video of him hitting the pads, he was throwing arm punches, the karate training makes him flat footed. He should go train with Mike Passenier (trainer of melvin manhoef and badr hari) or Freddie Roach to maximize the power of his punches and strikes.

If he gets into a good training camp and finds some solid coaches than he will easily be on his way to the top ten in the heavyweight division. He moves fairly well for a heavyweight, unorthodox but fast, passenier or roach could take advantage of that and allow him to use is tremendous strength and his speed with good technique.

fedor Says, in 12-11-2009 at 20:08:54 from

pure power, he could eb a force with more technique.
and yes, a good striker could ko that open chin, loomk at him when he throws the low kicks

Bruno: Marcin Najman is a pretty good striker. He fought last year for the Polish heavyweight Boxing title. Though he did lose.

TAQ Says, in 12-11-2009 at 20:24:11 from

Mariusz is such a beast! I think he did wrestle, or Sumo in strongman competitions anyway. I can’t wait to see him fight again. I haven’t seen such a barrage of brutal leg-kicks since Bas Rutten and Warpath, even though Bas’ were way more lethal.

Thanks Bruno, I heard about this fight a while ago, but never expected you to know, or care about it. You are the man!!! You get all the best events and best interviews and best fights on this site, and that’s why everyone loves it so much. I’m on here every day and I want to thank you for what you do for us all.

Bruno: I have kept an eye on Mariusz ever since a saw one of his music videos on Viva in Germany. Thanks for the support.

NotVinnieJones Says, in 12-11-2009 at 20:46:15 from

Jeez, how good does a fighter have to be to be considered a “good striker”? The guy he fought was a professional boxer (13-4 record) who, at age 31, isn’t so old that he can be considered an “over-the-hill” fighter just yet.
You’d think that if anyone could have taken advantage of this guy leaving himself open it would be an experienced professional boxer.

sooooopernate Says, in 12-11-2009 at 20:53:43 from

Pure power and I mean REAL power. Those kicks were so ugly but the dude was almost swept off his feet. Marcin is a boxer but maybe he was nervous? With some training Mariusz on top = game over for anyone I’d think

kaution187 Says, in 12-12-2009 at 00:52:40 from

Despite Brock’s inexperience the difference between both big men is BROCK is a world class wrestler.
And now he is also on the level of possibly a purple belt in BJJ (they’re saying)which is scary by itself.
Mariusz Pudzianowski is truly one of the most decorated men to ever hold the title of Strongest man nest to Magnus but he is not anywhere near UFC in the near future and hopefully Strikeforce will allow him time to become seasoned but then again they are putting in Hersel Walker…

I don’t mean to take away from the guy. He’s definetely a monster and no joke to fight. But anyone thinking he could – at the skill level he is at now – take on Brock, Fedor or other top HW’s must be out of their mind!

If he becomes a top HW sometime, so be it. Anyways, I’m more interested in seeing technique and fighting skills in a fight, not just pure muscle.

it is true that this guy has an amazing and unreal strenght. But this does not necesarily mean that he is a big puncher.i have boxed for more than 18 years and the correlation between strenght and punching power is not obvious.I think that a decent heavyweight Ko’s Mariusz. But I love this guy I remember the world’s strongest man.But he is too massive to be a good fighter.

Tysen Says, in 12-12-2009 at 14:35:18 from

Some of you guys missed the point. No one was saying that if he fights like he did that fight, then he would be able to compete with the best heavyweights in the world.

Lesnar wouldn’t have been able to compete with any of the fighters he fought if he didn’t train with greg nelson and erik paulson.

Mariusz needs to train with some solid coaches and then it won’t take long before he can compete with top ranked heavyweights because he will have skill with his strength and speed.

His striking looks awkward and in the video of him hitting the pads, he was throwing arm punches. If he started training with mike passenier than he would be a beast on his feet. He could also work with Ricardo Liborio (Head Coach at ATT) to work on his ground game.

The point is that mariusz is freakishly strong and moves a lot quicker than most of us expected. If he gets into a good camp that can teach him good technique then he will be well on his way. A couple months of training in a good camp and he should be able to compete with the likes of mustapha al turk or some other heavyweight fighters that fight in the preliminaries.

koalition Says, in 12-12-2009 at 15:39:25 from

Def this guy is a beast, but without wrestling shoes, how soft are his feet? Shoes need to come off before I can jump for joy about him. He’s still a big, strong, nasty looking mofo! Is Kimbo next?

PitfighterZ Says, in 12-12-2009 at 17:35:50 from

When I said “good striker” I meant someone who knows how to defend a low kick and counterattack immediately. Boxers aren’t used to being kicked.
Any Muy-thai or Karate fighter would be able to take advantage of that. I think Mariusz may have a future in MMA, but he needs to improve his fighting A LOT.
When Mark Coleman got in MMA he was much stronger than anyone in the game, he ended up being repeatedly stopped with kicks to the head because he didn’t know how to deal with them.
If Mariusz doesn’t start learning, he will go down much faster than Coleman, as the fighters are generally much better now.

Mariusz Pudzianowski is well know here in Poland. Every guys on gyms know whos is “Pudzian”
It’s truth that there was no technique. But let remember he got only 1 month to know MMA better than from TV.

140kg Pudzian 105 kg Nejman – well Nejman is a celebrity boxer not a real one.

Animal Says, in 12-13-2009 at 16:06:04 from

yes, this guy in red t-shirt is Pudzian brother, Krystian Pudzianowski (singer in Pudzian Band and polish strongman refree). Mariusz starts training MMA 2 months ago and he has never fight in the ring.

rob Mamieda Chalidow Tomasz Drwal Says, in 12-14-2009 at 18:28:37 from

Pudzianowski was fighting against Najman who is not a boxer although he had a chance to fight hw title, before he was fighting as a kickboxer and here he didnt even try to stop Pudzianowski kicks. Anybody who is talking about fight between Pudzian and Lesnar will be disappointed as Mariusz said that MMA is a 10 storied building and right now he is on the ground floor. He’s got contract for 4 fights in Poland. From January he’s gonna train again in Brasil and England.

Norman Says, in 12-17-2009 at 11:16:43 from

Everyone is saying he has no technique but he boxed for 7 years and has a third dan blackbelt in karate, but cause of his size he wont even be tested on them. I hope he does come up against someone who has great experience and technique in something like Muy-thai, then we would have the ultimate match of size vs. technique

Professional boxer 13-4, yeah have you seen his boxrec. The man is a side show who fights guys with records of 4-45 and 5-26. He’s not a professional boxer. As for the strongman, no skill, breathing heavy after 15 seconds. We don’t need another Bob Sapp
