Manny Pacquiao is carried around the ring after his knockout of Ricky Hatton on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Manny Pacquiao rocked Ricky Hatton with a left hook to the side of the head, knocking the Brit star to the canvas and forcing their junior-welterweight title fight to a stunning end with a second to go in the second round Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

This overly hyped bout figured to be a close one but Pacquiao set Hatton up with right hooks in the first round, knocking him down two times.

I for one never thought that this was going to be close. Hatton is a one dimensional pressure fighter. He does not do well against fighters with speed, and in this case speed and power. I hope he’s alright. Now, lets bring on a real fight, Mayweather vs Paquiao!

Hatton had no head movement what so ever! You leave your chin out like that for Pacman and you’ll be pushing daisys. On a side note, they talk so much trash on how dangerous mma can be, look at Hatton. He took so many power shots to the head, and then looked like he’d been hit by a bus. Massass, you’re absolutely right about how much bad press MMA receives as being dangerous. What many politicians and journalists don’t listen to are the experts who I’ve heard explain how boxing is far more dangerous than MMA. Boxer’s over the course of a fight receive far more damage with massive concussive head shots than MMA fighters ever do.

Like to say I’ve frequented this site for well over a year however this is my first post. Now I don’t take part in MMA or boxing but after watching this (as well as other boxing matches) there is no doubt in my mind if a straight up boxer got in the ring with any competant MMA fighter the boxer wouldn’t make it out of the first round. This throw two punches and have the ref break them up is all well and good in boxing, they try that in MMA they’ll be eating knees, followed by swollowing their teeth.

Pacquiao did not have much power with his right hand before he was fighting Morales, sometime durng the Morales fights, he improved his right hook to a point that its lethal, that when they called it the Manila Ice.

Floyd has no real boxing fans/sponsor. Floyd will try to box for 8 rounds and run around and then will try to fight manny.

if this goes through, I hope roach hires a co tainer that knows the science of boxing so manny can be more prepared.

Manny has to win or boxing will die. MMA is the sport today not second to boxing
