This is the fight video of Mac Danzig Vs Tommy Speer at The Ultimate Fighter Finale. |
The final bout of the TUF season wasn’t all that close. After a very short felling out prosess that got deep into the action. It was not the best season finale buy a long shot but the best man did win on the night.
No spoiler just the fight.
Thanks for posting this! I was very sleepy Saturday and so took a long nap, when I woke up I realized I’d missed the finale and kicked myself. The only real fight I wanted to see was this one though so it’s very lucky I found it. I tried searching Comcast for it but I guess they don’t have some things, I’m still not sure how On Demand Works. I mean hell I went looking for this but couldn’t find it so gave up, damn them for airing it so soon instead of Wednesday 
The good news is with the reviews I watched and the fight here I feel pretty good about it, I was so hoping Danzig would win because he really deserved it more then Speers. It was clear with he poked George Sotiropoulos that this was a complete and utter farce! I don’t know about you guys but being poked in the eye during a fight means you should stop the fight until things are fair, in this case the fight wasn’t fair because Speers won it. Had he not hurt Sotiropoulos that way I know he’d have beat him easily, the sad thing is he never got to fight Danzig!
In all I think Speers just got fortunate with the eye poke and it put him in the finale with someone he wasn’t prepared to fight. Thus we see the complete annihilation of Speers by Danzig as if he weren’t really even a trained fighter. I found this satisfying since they really ripped Sotiropoulos’s victory away from him (cuz of the eye poke). The best fighter in the world would fall if he couldn’t see for cryin out loud!!
So George Sotiropoulos don’t give up you’re a real fighter, we all heard you when you said you had to depend on yourself alot and ignore others, good work an you’re the real winner. Thank god Danzig kicked Speers to dust like he deserved. This just goes to show you don’t cheat and pretend you’re better just cuz of an eye poke, hell if I’d accidently poked his eye I would’ve had them tape mine shut just to be fair!
I know I know so what of this fight? Well Danzig kicks his ass like a little girl, he’s left wailing on the floor like a child and is helpless against true skill. I’m not saying strength isn’t important but actually who says Danzig doesn’t have equal strength compared to Speers? Afterall he did whip him ehh. Who knows, maybe his strength was a surprise to Speers and that’s why he was caught off guard, he kept expecting a weak fighter.

Anyone have any idea what the song was Tommy Speer used for his intro? I tried to catch some of the lyrics but the announcers wouldn’t shut up long enough.

That song was “Amarillo Sky” by Jason Aldean, great song about the hardships of being a farmer these days.
mac has paid his dues and deserves to be where he is…..he made tommy look like he should go out and find new job.

Watching the Tspeer fights on the show and the danzig fights, you could tell that mac is a fighter, and tommy was just throwing weight around. All in all mac smoked him, good fight but if tommy doesn’t get the take down to mount looks like he can’t do anything.
i’m sure that mac danzig is a future UFC champ. a year from now he will be lightweight or welterweight champ of the ufc. they would be wise to market him, and groom him for a top tier position.
Tommy used Amirilo Sky by Jason Aldeen. Great fight both guys deserved to be there. i was pulling 4 mac, cuz he’s a pro and definately can’t wait to see him fight again
Mac has skills but some times ego over laps confidence. Mac is a whiner and acted like a child on the show in terms of negativity. He can do something in the ring no doubt but I don’t think hes the talent everyone is talking about. Tommy had a bad night and experience does play a lot in this sport as Mac demonstrated.
Time will tell for mac, Im looking forward to seeing him in there with some experience against him and then it will be determined just how great he is. Im sure theres a few guys in the UFC just itching to teach him a few things.
It was a good fight… pretty much what was expected, I’m sure Danzig wasn’t gonna go fist to fist with Speers. What I think the UFC should do is match Danzig Vs Sotiropoulus as a card on a PPV event, since that is what everyone wanted including the fighters, and it would be an easier transition for both fighters into the pros. I know it would be a great match, I’d take Danzig… I don’t see George getting far in the UFC… I think he is a good fighters, but to be a great fighter you have to think fast and be creative, he is not very creative and this will be he demise.
oh yes…and you also need a chin…Goerge!… you don’t have one…. Go ask Huerta or Guida where to get one!.. they seem to know where the good chin deals are!
Mac as a former king of the cage lightweight champion, to be in the ultimate fighter was unfair for everyone. Tommy is just a huge guy that thinks he’s good. Tommy is and can be a walk through unless he gets proper ground work training. Other than that he’s a terrible fighter. I think Mac being a Vegan, theres no wonder he hates human beings. I have a vegetarian girlfriend and she always complains about the lack of respect for animals as well. Which I agree mostly, but Mac really had a negative aura about him. Maybe because you have a bunch of kids on the ultimate fighter. That upper decker was childish and gross………………………………….. yet funny
Mac will never be UFC Champ. Ya he’s good but unlike the rest of the fighters he’s been training for a long time and is at the best he will ever get while the rest will improve with time. Also, with BJ Penn, Kenny Florian and Sean Sherk Mac’s chances for the lightweight belt are less than zero.
mac is good but u guys have to remember he was already a full time fighter for quite a while before the show and he never really had any big wins. this might be basically close to as good as mac gets. i think he will do good in the lw division but i dotn see him offering much against guys like sherk, penn, and florian.
tommy really choked, u could tell he was intimidated entering the octagon. he has potential though, but i think he needs to go to an actual mma gym, i dont think rollign aroudn wheelbarrels on his farm can get him all the way to the top
Tommy does work out at a real gym. That bit they showed before the fight was complete bunk. I’m sure he has done that in the past but the producers wanted to set up a “farmboy” vs. a “cityboy.” That’s why that country bumpkin music was playing when he entered the ring too. Tommy trains at the 4th Street Boxing Gym in Rochester, MN. There is also a Jiu-Jitsu gym there run by Mario Roberto, a Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt. I would agree that the finale against Mac showed that Tommy has a long way to go, especially on the ground.
Danzig pwn3d, just as I knew he would.
I think Danzig is an egotistical nut who will get DESTROYED the first time he actually FIGHTS talent… I would love to see him go one up on BJ or Sherk.
