It’s always fun to see one of the UFC rising stars get knocked out. One of these days I would like to actually see Sokoudjou put that brick house of body to good work and outright attack an opponent. I know that he has a lot of potential, but I have yet to see an sort of champion caliber from him. Congratulations to Luiz Cane for a good fight.

Sokoudjou doesn’t have the mental strength. if things are tough he starts to break down. Looks like he gave in at the end there.

Black Spoon is right. Sokoudjou lacks mental strength and is easily intimidated if things don’t go for him early on. He isn’t attacking with the same ferocity as he did in PRIDE.

the fact is he got lucky against Lil Nog, I’ve seen Lil Nog take harder shots than the one he took from Soku. The punch you don’t see and the one you don’t brace for is the one thats gonna knock you out.

thats the problem isn’t it; if he fights for the title that means Rashad can’t; no wait, what about Rampage who didn’t really lose to Griffin; what about Machida & Shogun after his recovery? Pride would of put up a 16 man tournament to settle all this. unfortunately were dealing with the ufc, they like to prolong things, overhype, and just make money for themselves!

tournaments is the reason why pride is no longer around. why would you waste all those fighter’s momentum just to find out who got lucky and got the better match up?

ufc is doing things right for the company, the fighters, sport and fans. it gives more fighers opportunity to make more money.

how about an 8 man instead of a 16, tourney; Rampage, Jardine, Silva, Liddell, Machida, Shogun, Griffin, Ortiz(possibly) I’m sure whoever wins, it can all be attributed to “luck”. As for the money not true only the top tier guys really benefit, other than that the pay hasn’t really changed much from the days of Pride, ufc co-existence.

Then again a tournament in the ufc would just suck, the rules are wack!

You guys need to stop making excuses for Soko. He hit Cane with some awesome combinations, but Cane has some amazing defense, and waited until Soko gassed and finished him. Cane is just a BAD ASS.
