Benoist has great striking and a good bottom game.That Kimura sweep was nice at the 1st round.I really look forward to see him fight again.And that nose was so nasty.It was going 2 different directions.

Stupid f****** Unified round by round scoring system for a 3 round fight. Eek out 2 rounds and then you can defend a ‘points lead’ and you almost never see a 10-8 round. Zero common sense in the Unified system, score fights overall for the good of MMA! The Pride system was infintely better and was way more aligned to the spirit of fighting.

Benoist was technically superior but physically over matched and was getting his @ss handed to him. Lucky decision.

The last round wasn’t that dominant.Riddle did stay on top all the 3rd round but Benoist wokred and defended the big majority of strikes so there’s no way he lost the last round 10-8.He definetly lost 10-9.But what woud be worst,beating a guy up for 2 rounds and then he gets you down and doesnt do alot of damage but keeps you there and lands some punches,would that make him a the winner?But i agree if it was a 5 round Benoist couldv’e been in trouble since he couldnt breath from the nose.

this reminds me of condit vs rory macdonald where the three round points system can really hurt the fight. Or it’s more similar to Sanchez vs Kampmann. It’s the correct decision, but no one watching could really consider it legitimate. Benoist did look good though.
