Tavares tapped, that’s why Kurt let it go. I don’t know who’s fault was that, but the fight should have been stopped. Ref didn’t notice it and Kurt should have waited for the ref ti stop it. Instead he just let go and no one noticed until it was too late.

it looked like thiago tapped, then kurt let go. sucks the ref didnt call it, but it was a close call in real time. i bet kurt will never let go of a sub until the ref pulls him off.

Thanks for posting Bruno! I’ve been looking forward to seeing this one.

I saw an interview with Batman after the fight. He said he never felt the tap, and didn’t let the armbar go. He said it felt like he popped capsules in Thiago’s elbow, but that’s how he snuck out of it.

Great fight. Pellegrino’s one of my favorites.

Pellegrino didn’t let go because he tapped. In all his interviews he said he didn’t feel the tap. Thiago’s shoulder did pop though. Thiago will be back though. This is just a rough patch similar to guida. But i am sure that he will have a title someday.

Seeing the toughness of batman makes me even more impressed with Nate Diaz’s win over him…I think Diaz will have a tough time against Josh Neer, but everyone seems to think he’ll sub him no problem…good fight, glad they both got fight of the night bonuses…

That was a pretty exciting fight. I still don’t get how TT got out of that armbar, but Kurt still won the fight and that is what counts.

I think a pro fighter won’t loosen an armbar until referee stops.That’s why I think Thiago didn’t tap out. No doubt batman won the fight.

Very very exciting fight. From beginning to end. The fact that thiago survived round one had me cheering for him for the rest of the fight. Sure everyone loves batman, but thiago’s will to not lose was bigger then kurt’s will to finish. Amazing fight from start to finish.
