Bellator 59 MMA fight videos of Kurt Pellegrino vs. Patricky Freire.
I think Pellegrino was just trying to hide his head, but the ref. thought he was out. Adding that to the fact that Freire held the fence to scape the take down makes the whole thing weird.
Anyway, still a good fight, I guess.
The ref couldn’t even see Kurts face. Should have warned Shitbull about punching the back of the head instead of calling the fight. Ref was horrible.
Looked like the stoppage was just a bit early. Might not have made any difference, but looked a little early nonetheless.
horrible stoppage
Bad stoppage, however I don’t think Kurt had much left.
that is the possibly the worst stoppage i have ever seen
Pretty bad stoppage, and Pellegrino is a tough guy and may have been able to recover. Sad to see a great guy like Kurt end his career like that. Patricky is a beast though, I would like to see him in the UFC because I feel that he would be able to break into the top ten within a couple fights.
how many of those shots were to the back of the head?
the ref sucks and he looks like a 70′s pornstar with that ugly ass ‘stache!
Kind of a bad stoppage, but Kurt didn’t have anywhere to go. Sort of like the Tank Abbott/Hugo Duarte fight without the heavyweights and the blood.
Bad stoppage. But refs are gonna miss some. Rather see that than 14 strikes to the face of a guy who is out.
Awful stoppage. Sometimes the ref’s need to take the guy’s history into account. Also grabbing the fence and punching to the back of the head is not allowed this ref should stick to reffing amateur hour.
Terrible stoppage. absolutely no excuses.
Terrible stoppage
this is terrible refereeing
@ Oldassgrappler
calm down the punches were actually not to the back of the head at all but on the side which is allowed! however I do that was a early stoppage no question about it Kurt was not done and could have recovered.
Strong 3, 2 combo. Early stoppage for sure. I can’t comment on what would’ve happened but only on what happened. No warning to punches thrown to the back of the head and a fighter on the ground working for position with his head tucked to the side of his opponent’s leg for protection in the process.
Is there any fighter in mma that is going to retire on a win?
