Actually Noons beat Diaz by a cut after the first round. Still, this is going to be an amazing match between two excellent strikers. I can’t wait.

I think this is a good matchup for Edwards. I’m sure he’ll be content to make it a kickboxing match on the feet. If he gets taken down, Edwards is more than comfortable off his back. Edwards mixes up his strikes better than Diaz.

I’m back………. Noons will put on a great fight against edwards. to be honest I love edwards knee to the head last fight, but I think that was just the right time and right place thing. But damn Diaz is cut like a woman on her period. Wheres the Tampon!!!!!???????

CHYEA, you must not have seen diaz fight much. Diaz can lose the first round or the whole fight and pull out a win.

I never post, i’m a quite guy. I will say that this is what i’ve been waiting for. Yves is better than you guys have seen. I know both guys. Yves very well, Noons in passing. It will be a great fight, can’t wait.

Erik, Noons was teeing off on Diaz’s face during that fight. If not for Diaz’s great chin he would have been lights out.

Noons and Yves have something in common, they both knocked out Berto with a knee to the head. Haha.

Hey MMA soldier I read your post on the TANK VS CABBAGE fight video and you said: “My girlfriend will be so happy I’m going to nail her like Tank Abbot will nail Kimbo.” HAHAHAHA how disapointed was she? Hey man, I’m just messing you with.

Diaz entered that fight with a swollen knee from a staph infection, he was hospitalized a few days after the fight because he was so sick.

I’ve seen Edwards past few fights, and saw him live at HDNET’s second event. The guy looks tough, lets hope its a good fight.

Golden Hill Kid, if you want to suck off Anderson Silva, go do it somewhere else. This thread is regarding Noons and Edwards who fight two weight classes below Silva.

I’m going to take KJ in this one. As much as I respect Edwards, Noons striking is so quick and precise. If Edwards is willing to stand and trade I think he will get the worst of it.

Kudos for dealing with Golden, MMABuff. Anthony, do you not post because your quiet or quite? And by quite.. do you mean quite wrong? I think we’ve seen everything edwards has to offer. He’s fought in almost every organization, but never really against any big named top fighters. His toughest opponent was prolly hermes, the steroid freak, who he couldnt finish. Other then him, a bunch of no names. Not trying to be argumentative, but I think yves’s coaches have made him a bottom feeder. Kinda like Tito Ortiz.

Mike. Do you mean that if Diaz was a less tough and less experienced fighter he would have been KO’d by Noons?
Lucky for us he is a tough experienced fighter!

Noons talks alot of shit for someone who won his title off of a 1st round cut. Lets see how long noons lasts with Edwards because there is NO way he could beat Gomi like Diaz beat Gomi.

AndrewNo Gravatar Says, in 2-25-2008 at 05:22:25 from 64.26.169.150

Corey, Hermes Franca is a steroid freak now? After using a drug to cure an ailment and then being honest about it in front of a commitee? Are you smoking some shit? Yves fought Josh Thompson and KO’d him. Thompson is considered one of the best 155lbs fighters on the planet, as is Hermes.

Diaz is no doubt a warrior….a great show from Noons…Edwards is a whole other bag of tricks. We all know what Edwards is capable of, we’ve seen his best and not so best over the years. If he’s at his best he could take off Noons head, and will be one tough opponent. Noons lack of experience may play a roll, Edwards will be ready, how ready will Noons be? Should be a hell of a brawl. Yves career has been reborn, hes my pick.

GRD, True Diaz did lose because of cuts, but did you see how many cuts he had in his face? At least 3 serious ones. Cuts don’t happen by themselves. He took many severe shots particularly one when he was dropped which seriously opened a gaping hole in his face. Even without the cuts Diaz had no answer for the amount of punishment he was taking in the fight. For every blow he took he just got weaker and weaker, I doubt he would have won the fight regardless. As for experience, I would agree if Noon was fighting a BJJ submission specialist he would be in trouble… but he’s not. This will be a stand up fight and with Noon’s boxing experience it should be a good one.

Yves has lightning fast hands and is very athletic, he is not at all like Diaz who punches like he is in slow motion. I can’t wait to see this fight. I still predict Yves to win though, after all the work he’s put in in this sport I’d like to see him champion.
