Both Yves Edwards and KJ Noons have verbaly ageed to fight at EliteXC’s April 26 event in Honolulu.
EliteXC lightweight champion Noons will try to defend his belt that he took over when we won a decision over Nick Diaz. Edwards has worked his way back to the top after pulling off 3 wins in a row. 2 submissions and an impressive jumping knee knockout over James Edson Berto.
Champion Noons has improved greatly in his short MMA pro career. He has become a more rounded fighter compare to his boxing only approach he took at the start. It’s rare to acquire a championship with only a 6-2 record. Edwards is a little closer to the end of his career even though he is only 32. A 33-13 record caries a plenty of experience with it but takes a toll on one over the years.
