Kimbo Vs Tank Abbott In February For EliteXC

This fight might finally happen. After many on again off again rounds of problems both fighters are healthy and willing to fight.

Kimbo’s long-awaited heavyweight showdown with former UFC tough man Tank Abbott is slated to be the main event of EliteXC’s show on Saturday, February 16.

Being shown on Showtime at 10:00 p.m. ET, the fight is expected to come from Miami, Florida. The arena has not been announced but the University of Miami has been put out there as a location.

Also on the fight card is Australian Kyle Noke and former UFC fighter Scott Smith. Antonio Silva and James “Colossus” Thompson are scheduled to compete on the card as well, in more bouts.

Slice and Abbott had been scheduled to fight each other on October 12 in Atlantic City, NJ. However, Cage Fury Fighting Championships ran into financial troubles and was forced to cancel the event. After the cancellation Slice became a free agent and signed a contract with EliteXC.

I do think he is a way better fighter now than before due to training with ffa in miami and also bas rutten and he is no joke…

What’s with the Ross Pointing love? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look half-assed, and he’s too light. Abbott just recently knocked out Cabbage in the first round for record, too.

Why do you guys keep talking about ross and hightower?? You guys dont know mma too well, jsut because y ou watch TUF. Kimbo is going to knock this clown out, and if not he will use some of his ground game that Bas has taught him. 5-1 odds Kimbo. Just my opinion. Tank is way past his prime, and needs to control his mouth when he doesn’t have the equipment to back it up.

Can’t see this one going past the first 30 seconds. If tank was a yonger man he’d have a good shot at winning this, but I’ll have to go with kimbo. I saw kimbo lose what was a horrible fight to watch on youtube. It’s sad that these unlicensed fights happen. Still with Bas looking after Kimbo he could make waves, if he can absorb the training.

Kimbo is a baaaad man. Tank, he hears the bell and charges. I honestly dont think that ive seen him not do that. If he doesnt overwhelm people in the first 45 seconds, his fat ass gases. Kimbo- Natural ability El Guapo= bad fuckin newz. Tank is a hit or miss, and my prediction for this fight is that he wont hit water if he fell into a fuckin pooL. Kimbo won some fights due to intimidation, soon hell fight someone who aint scared, and still come out on top. Than people will realize what natural talent is!

I hope you know, how much you bench has nothing to do with how your going to fight. Tank can bench 600lbs, sure, but if you know anything, its all about core workouts. Tanks fat, and slow, and he starts to gas after 2 minutes into a round. I’m not saying he’s not a hard hitter, but doing half ass work outs (if u saw his training clips) don’t expect him to win this fight.
