I don’t get it. He looked so good during practice. He looked like he was actually making good progress on his ground game. Maybe it is just how fat Roy Nelson is. That’s like 100 good pounds concentrated in Roy’s stomach and titties right on Kimbo’s face and chest.

It seems so weird to me that the UFC would market Kimbo they way they did, only to have him lose, and be the 3rd guy out of the competition. I think that Kimbo will be chosen as an alternate, and I still think he’s at least gonna be in the finale. It’s the only reason they would market him so much. I imagine how many people are watching this season solely because they were hyped up by the Kimbo commercials, and how many of those people would stop watching if they thought Kimbo was indubitably out.

I admit I’m a Kimbo fan but, honestly, I expected him to lose after hearing about Roy “Old Country Buffet” Nelson and his takedowns, BJJ and ground and pound for the past couple weeks. But that’s not what I saw. Granted I never saw him fight in the Incredibly Fat League or wherever he came from, but you could have hurled a dead manatee at Kimbo with basically the same results. His takedowns and “ground and pat” were pathetic. Just because a charging hippo can knock you down and lay on you, doesn’t mean he’s an MMA fighter.
If he were to manage to blob and squash his way into the finals, I can see introduction stats now:
Strengths:
-Can increase Burger King stock in one sitting
-Has own gravitational field
Weakness:
-Has never gone 3 rounds without eating
-Has 2 weak chins

Note to Dana: I would rather pay to watch reruns of Golden Girls projected onto the face of the sun, than watch Nelson fight again for free.

Nelson played it smart. Not an impressive win but you have to give him credit for taking advantage of the rules and Kimbo’s weaknesses. Go check out the way Arlovski owned that tubby. That’s the way to do it.

While you might not think those hurt, you can tell by Kimbo’s body movement that your wrong, they do infact hurt. From that position and with his head against the mat with no place to move hes taking the full impact and trust me it HURTS!

Why that was a good stoppage
- Kimbo couldn’t get out of that position
- Full round of time was left
- Kimbo was getting punched on the head
- If the ref didn’t stop it kimbo could of been seriously hurt had it continued 1-2 minutes more.

Roy nelson might look fat and ugly but he is effective (if not boring to watch)… the fight he lost against Arlovski was a bit of a joke.. he was working an arm bar in the first round and got stood up… second round he took a couple of bit hits but was still defending himself and no where near TKO’d when it was stopped..

Arlovski got lucky that fight if u ask me…

Roy aint pretty or fun to watch but he is effective… and i hope like hell someone does KO him to bring his ego down (but it aint gonna happen on TUF)..

Hey, I’m going to set the record straight. The fight was not stopped because of the noggies Roy was delivering. It was because Kimbo was being suffocated by Roy’s blubber and man tits. He was in real danger of getting brain damage from lack of oxygen, seriously. The ref’s number 1 job is to make sure the fighter is safe and he did a bang up job!
