Cage Fury Fighting Championships’ October. 12th MMA fight card in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is canceled, CFFC president Felix Martinez said in a statement released Friday. |
Bas Rutten, Kimbo’s trainer for the Oct. 12 bout, said that after hearing the news Kimbo was very upset. “He doesn’t know what to do.”

Darn it me too people I am REALLY pissed off. I had plans too and was waiting for this since the day it was announced. UNFAIR. Just as I had started taking CFFC seriously but I think I ‘ll stick to my initial opinion, very few organizations are credible in this business.

This is TOTALLY FUCKED UP!!! I couldn’t wait for Tank to get it on with Kimbo! Remember Adryan the Wood who Kimbo gave that fucked up temple shot to which was his dirtiest shot ever! Damn near killed the mother fucker! This Ventura County Street Fighting Wood is definitely gonna be the toughest challenge since Gannon, who fucked Kimbo up! I think Tank has the most heart and anger than any of Kimbo’s previous opponents.

Guys, get a grip. Who fuckin’ cares now who would win. It ain’t happening. You lose a money man to back the fight and that’s it? This fight would have made all kinds of money. What a piece of shit organization that pulls out because they didn’t have enough money to pay the peanut vendors? Maybe a real organization will step up and get this going. Speculating on who would have won a cancelled fight is as pointless as arguing over whether Bruce Lee could beat Ali. Until you ACTUALLY see Kimbo and Tank strap it on, try to enjoy all the great fights that really happen. Remember this: when you go to bed at night, all this Tank Beats Kimbo, Kimbo Beats Tank is just your opinion.
The only way to make this up is to get the fight scheduled and give it away free. This fight could get the CFFC on the map, and if they dont do that no one will even sample there product.

If the fight did happen,id say it would probley go to kimbo. He has been training with Bas Rutten,and rutten is a legend. But then again Tank does have that big right hand that puts guys to sleep,would have been a good fight.. fuckin promoters.But who knows,1 punch can change a fight.
Clowns.. only reason why Kimbo Lost to Gannon was cause Gannon choked him. It was scheduled as a bare knuckle fight.. and Gannon Kneed and Choked him. regardless of the one or two knees and the momentary choke, did anyone see Gannon’s face? It was all fucked up but he never gave up (true warrior)…Kimbo on the other hand ran out air and stregth because he finally fought someone that could go toe to toe with him. In my opinion, Kimbo is simply strong. Anybody that is naturally strong can take another person if the person is not technically prepared or has a game plan to counter-attack the strength factor that, in this case, kimbo brings. If kimbo wants to call himself a mma champion he is going to have to bring more than just strength and still has to prove himself with real mma warriors.

Kimbo has proven himself in all his cage fights so far, the opponents may have been lessor than some of your favorites – but he has dealt with them all accordingly, I mean the matches have not even went passed the second round. He has made a quick jump from street fight thugging to sanctioned MMA cage fighting.
Most people can’t handle someone making such a quick success at something that they only wish the could do. GIVE THE GUY HIS PROPS!!!!

Kimbo is a tough dude, but he never fought anyone even tough in his videos. I am no where near kimbos size, but I have fought better people than him, untill he fights anyone worthy, he is only a strong dude with a good punch. No one he fought even knew how to fight, especially the white guy he sucker punched, I would have beat that guy down. Untill kimbo fights anyone decent, tank will smash him. 90 years old or not. Yeah whoever said KIMBO would be destroyed by TANK is a dunce. Tank is getting old and on his way out. Kimbo isnt much younger but hes still in superb shape and condition. He went into it as if it was a street fight, you could just tell by the way he was moving around the ring. Looked just like his old backyard brawls. No attempts at takedowns or kicks, just striaght up boxing. Tank looked like he didnt even want to fight once the bell went. I was saying to my buddie that Tank probably just agreed to get knocked out by Kimbo for a nice slice of cash. Tank already has a losing record in MMA so why not make a big wad of cash to fight a guy the public wanted to see fight?
I would love to see KIMBO vs RAMPAGE JACKSON, although throwing Kimbo in an event with a high class fighter like that wouldnt be fair to other fighters who work their way up.
Kimbo needs to be signed to the UFC and start from the bottom. Id day hed have a main event fight in like 3 victories.
